The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 is a really impressive phone, especially if you want something different from a normal smartphone. Its foldable design makes it compact in your pocket, while the 6.9-inch main display is bright, smooth and great for watching videos or scrolling. Performance is also excellent, and the 4,300mAh battery is a noticeable improvement for everyday use. (Samsung it) However, it isn’t perfect. The cameras are good, but the ultra-wide camera isn’t as strong as what you’d get on Samsung’s top non-folding phones. The biggest issue is probably the price, especially because the upgrades over the Z Flip 7 aren’t huge. (Popular Mechanics) Overall, I’d recommend the Z Flip 8 to someone who really wants a stylish, compact foldable. But if you already own a recent Z Flip, upgrading probably isn’t necessary.

I upgraded from a Flip 6 to a Flip 8 about a week ago and completely love my new phone. Setup was effortless. My apps and data transferred from my old to new phone perfectly. Everything works exactly as it should. The slightly larger phone still fits easily in my purse or pocket. Photos are crisp and clear. I am really enjoying the expansion of functionality that is now available via the front screen, I can't think of a downside and having used it for a week, I would absolutely buy this phone again.

I recently upgraded from the Motorola RAZR plus 2024 and I've got to say, while having a similar look and feel, the overall experience is mind boggingly different. From the extra half centimetre of width to the customization, cohesiveness and ease of the Samsung family. Truly a beautiful product inside and out. The camera is amazing, the display feels ingrained and like that of a regular no flip phone. I can't attest to the durability as it is protected like fort Knox on a bad day. Battery is ok from what I've experienced so far but I assume it will get better as it learns my usage patterns.

The foldable design is so convenient, you cannot see the flit screen ince opened showing 0 crese! Its that smooth. Flipping makes traveling easier as it fits easily into my pocket or handbag while still opening up to a gorgeous ful -sized display. The camera quality is fantastic, the battery easily lasts me through the day and everything runs so smoothly. I also love how customisable it is, especially being able to personalise the cover screen to make it feel unique. It pairs perfectly with my Samsung devices, making everyday tasks so much easier. Ok, so I have gone from flip 6 to 7, and now 8. I really like the flip. It's a good form factor in my pocket. This one is only a slight upgrade, though. Camera etc are much the same. The more powerful chip is noticeable when in use. My biggest issue is battery. It didn't need to be slimmer and lighter, because it was already a compact size. It needed a bigger capacity battery, that doesn't run so hot. This thing gets insanely hot if, say, you are running android auto with sat nav going. To the point where the phone shuts down. Not good, during a long car journey to somewhere you don't know. So, this has not changed from the 7. I was hoping it would. Everything else is good.

This is my first flip phone and I'm really impressed and happy that I traded in my S24 to get it. The ease of use, the way it snugly fits in both my hand and pocket is a real pleasure added to this, It's weight is minimal. I like the two taps to wake it up while folded, and the way it opens up to a 6.9 onch screen. The sharp display and zoom functions of the camera I also find impressive. The extra security features and responsive screen, the ability to add extra memory for more intense app usage are great functions to have too. The hinge mechanism on my Galaxy Z flip 8 also feels durable and well constructed. The battery lasts me a full day at moderate usage and charges at 25w, which is fine for my usage. There are still more features for me to discover over the coming days and yet this phone is now my new favorite device.

After upgrading from a Flip to a Fold to last year the Samsung Galaxy Z flip8 is a much welcomed return to functional flip phones - no gimmicks. The full back display and cameras being on the same surface allows for photography moments that no other smartphone series does. The Z Flip8 feels lighter and yet more durable than it's predecessors and after double checking right now... The main screen 'crease' is nowhere to be seen. The only place where the phone feels lacking is it's battery performance. It's not bad by any means but is also nothing to write home about and will need a charge before the day is up as well as overnight. Genuinely a fun and functional flip phone - would recommend!

I've bought the Samsung Flip 8 and I've been loving it! The battery life is so much better than the Flip 6 - brightness of the screen is nice. I love all the customization you can do to make it feel like your own personalized phone.

So far so good, only had it for a few days and I'm loving how long the battery lasts... Only thing during the initial setup, I had to search how to bypass the SIM activation, since with my Carrier you can't transfer the ESIM, you need to download their app and upload a new ESIM there. I'm really hoping the factory screen protector doesn't fail within the first year like my Flip 5 did... Loving the feel and operation of the phone so far, I'm coming from the Google Pixel 9 pro XL, which has the better camera... Yeah, I wish the Flip 8 had a better camera by now.

The screen is really bright and clear compared to previous models. The hinge seems sturdy which is good as I have broken a few in the past. Only negative the camera on the front sticks out a little too much for my liking. I feel like I am gonna knock it off.

I’ve been a fan of the Galaxy zFlip series for a while, I have bought a zflip5 in 2024, and I’m really enjoying my new Z Flip8. Small form factor, easy to carry, solidly built, and the hinge feels very substantial in the hand. Crystal clear display with vibrant colors without compromises battery drain. I pre-ordered it and been using it for about a week. My previous one was Flip 6, compare to my old one, I would say there's been a major upgrade. Especially for the cover screen. It's now the entire face which I really like it. It became significantly thinner as well and lighter. The crease, I believe is less visible and doesn't really bother much, although I need to see how long it last. Overall I'm very satisfied with it.

What an amazing device! It's portable, incredibly easy to use, and has the best selfie camera I've ever tried. This phone genuinely makes tech fun again. Because it's so compact and durable, you don't have to worry about constantly babying it. It's a phone with all the standard phone features but by far the best thing about this phone is the fact that it can fold up into a smaller size resulting in a less bulky item in your pocket or bag. The front screen that you can see when the phone is folded means you don't have to unfold the phone to access various apps and messages. This is super convenient. I'm still relatively new with the phone and I'm discovering really cool features every couple of days. Would recommend.

You cannot tell me otherwise that this isn't the perfect phone. After several iterations this is the peak of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8. Everything is convenient, comfortable and so customisable. There are just so many features and benefits of this form factor. Just from quickly changing my music or making payments. Each time I use my phone I can feel the envy from others around me. Especially when I show off that the cover screen while taking photos and they can see themselves.

the most surprising thing is that it’s really light! i think i would have to get used to how long the display is, and it feels a bit less sturdy than an IPhone, but i really like how compact and small it is. the small outside screen is really cool and I can see myself getting a lot of use out of it. The hinge seems sturdy and you cannot see a crease in the screen at all. I thought the crease would be more prominent and i would hope it stays clear over time. Not sure how the battery is, but if it lasts longer than an iphone, that’s great!

I have the flip 3 still but decided to update to the flip 8. Great slim design, doesn't feel big in the hand, and glad I don't have to open it all the time to use, I love the no more screen protector, the crease is almost gone. Love the music codec is updated to use ldac as I'm big on audiophile

I've had the galaxy flip 8 for a week now and I love it! I've upgraded from the flip 4 and I love the front screen I almost don't even have to open up my phone if I don't want to, I love that I can message right on the front screen and even watch Netflix on the front screen its so neat! I have high hopes the main screen won't give out on me this time around, fingers crossed.

The Watch Ultra looks and feels premium, while the Flip 8 is sleek, powerful and incredibly smooth to use. They work together seamlessly, and the performance, displays and features have been fantastic. Definitely impressed with the quality and innovation. Just arrived last week and am enjoying the customisation options for the cover screen. Feels just like a normal phone that I can fold in half. The only thing I'm missing is a telephoto camera

I love the flip feature and the small size when Folded. Fits well in my small purse, I strongly dislike big purses. I really like the larger cover display and ability to get at apps from there and messages. Is a definite upgrade from my z3 flip

Bought this last week already I can tell the flip 8 is a much stronger upgrade to the flip 7 with better hinges! Opens and snaps nicely into place and doesn't feel like it's going to break! The cover screen is also much more versatile with apps being able to be used more effectively!

I purchased this phone last week. It is very slim and lightweight. Battery is good and phone speed is also good. Display is very smooth and device appears dutable. It does not heat and the folding joint works very smooth.

Just got the new Z Flip 8 a few days ago after upgrading from the Flip 7. The extra processing power makes everyday scrolling and multitasking feel smooth. That compact footprint that flips open into a full-sized screen is still the best part of the phone. Loving the cover screen upgrade. It’s getting so much closer to perfect compared to the 7. Being able to handle quick tasks right from the outer display without unfolding the phone is excellent and it saves a lot of battery life throughout the day. When I need to do real work like invoicing or browsing, opening up to the main display transferrs perfectly. I do wish the cameras took a leap forward, but I get that fitting high-end camera hardware into a device this thin comes with trade-offs and added cost. Overall, after coming from the 7 there's not a lot to notice, but something quite upgrades can be the most useful.

Similar to the previous model, it's getting better gradually. I don't upgrade my phone annually; usually waiting two to three years ensures significant improvements. Love how thin it is and seems more durable now.

I have had the phone for a week now. The new design is sleek and camera quality is awesome. Only downside is that the phone tends to warm up quite quickly, I assume this is due to the thinner battery. Overall, I would recommend this to a friend.

It's been a week and I still love the phone. I previously had the Flip6 but the pixels on the main screen died less than two weeks in but I am hoping it won't happen again. So far, I like the additions to the cover screen and all the apps that can be used on it as well as many other features.

I have always had a samsung but never one of the flips and have always wanted to try one as I went through the 2000s as a teen and loved the style of them then but could never afford one. I have loved it so far it's definitely a down grade in battery and camera quality compared to the 26 Ultra I had before but it's also a lot of fun so overall I'm happy with my choice 😀

I have got the s25 ultra, its absolutely amazing, honestly I was considering the 17pro max, pixel 10 pro xl, and the s25 ultra for over 3 months, and did lots of comparisons, all were good products, but by far the s25 ultra blows everything out of the water, its the king of all phones.
