I love the C connector for my 256 GB USB flash drive because very simply it saves a step from using an adapter as well as it's durability. I work with a lot of large sound systems and they have giant magnets which have ruined my flash drives time and time again. This one holds huge amounts of data as well as having been dropped in a fryer full of catfish nuggets and after drying it out, it still worked like new!!! Actually, I have 7 of them because I want all my personal data backed up in them and the one I got from work in the first place is still going smooth after lots of abuse and rewriting and formatting every other day. No problems ever!!!

I have had mixed results with this Fit Plus flash drive. It initially works well and is very small and unobtrusive. However when transferring a large amount of data, over 100 GB, for example, the drive gets very hot. I have had 2 drives fail. One was a 128 GB drive and the other a 256 GB drive. After several large GB transfers, including reading and writing, the drives froze up and stopped working. I suspect because of over heating. There is very little surface area to dissipate the generated heat. I have had better luck with the Samsung Bar Plus drives, which also get very hot, but apparently do have sufficient surface area to dissipate the heat.

They last and are durable enough to stay in place on portable devices pulling them in and out of cases. They've even stood up to the toughest test children. I've used them in 2 of my kids portable devices and have yet to have any issues or to have one break! These things are the best, only downside is how small they are, ironically it's also one of their biggest positive things. They are very fast for read and write!! I truly can't come up with any negatives, if there are any I haven't needed to deal with them. 😁

It has honestly without sounding like a infomercial, been the best thing I bought, I could bring it just about anywhere and for those who have a phone case with the two little holes on the side id recommend attaching it there so that, 1 you could have it at easy access and 2 so it could stay safe and in sight cause lets be honest it is pretty small. Overall if your on the fence with it just buy it already.

My flash drive was provided by my employer, for the SAFE keeping of client medical/health records. I LOVE this device SO MUCH that I named it. His name is "Know It All" because he literally does 😂 The convenience of having important vital information at my fingertips any given moment, and without having to carry around multiple heavy folders is enough to fall in love with on its own. My FAVORITE about this device is when I need new records emailed to me I simply request them, pop this baby in my laptop and save the info right from the email. No need for a printer or expense if ink, copy paper or added utility cost.

I bought a few of these some time back and used them for backup purposes and transfering files between computers. Since it's so small, it can be hard to remove from a brand new computer as the sockets on the motherboard I/O panel are hard to get to and are extremely tight. This is good to have a great connection but improvements to the grip/handle of the flash drive would be great. Something that grips your fingers better. So I recommend these devices for portable or semi permanent installations or front panel of a PC, not the back. Also I should mention that it is fast for a USB drive! That saves hours of waiting for files to move. A 512GB and 1TB version would be awesome.

If you have used any SBC like the Raspberry Pi I'm sure your familiar with the problem as most modern small devices have a cluster of USB ports that are so tightly crammed together most flash drives don't fit at all! i kept this drive in the usb port of my computer for about two months. the drive was left in the usb port as suggested in the boilerplate. media was bitlocker encrypted. after tow months of occasional use (maybe once a week), the drive reports "no media". all attempts to access the drive have failed - on several different pc's. it looks like the controller chip cannot talk to the nand memory chip. as a result, i have a working usb flash drive with no storage memory. for all of this drives supposed physical durability, it sure failed quickly and quietly. waterproof? x-ray proof? how about able to withstand normal use. good thing it's waterproof, because it's going in the toilet! do not trust your data to this device!

I'm able to store all of my photos and videos on there. I'm able to plug it into my phone, transfer data over, and it's super fast. Including video! And then I can plug it into the computer, and transfer data onto it there! I for video editing or photography that you do with the phone, this is an excellent product. Because it can even hold the finished product. I'm very pleased with it, and hope they release a 1tb version sometime soon.

I purchased this in July and placed it on my Keychain about a month later, being that is is advertised as waterproof and portable that seemed like an intended use. I noticed the cap would come off on my pocket fairly often but hadn't been an issue. What has become an issue is the back plate of the drive came undone and the entire drive came out of the enclosure and thus becoming lost. If you are planning on using this as a portable drive I would recommend super gluing the back plate ahead of time else risk losing the entire drive, along with its contents.

Its extremely compact, almost yo a fault but for me the smaller the better. I can see others losing it though if they dont just plug and stay. Realized it was time for an upgrade since that device was 10 years old. Safe to say, quite happy with this product. Copy speeds are lightning fast and I put videos/recordings on it and view it off of my monitor/tv, which is also super smooth. Easy to carry around and does not get that warm when in use. Gets super cold to touch when it’s colder but I’m not complaining lol. Highly recommend if you need an improvement as well.

It beats transfer speed of every other form of portable media I have in SD or USB format (except an NVMe inside a nice enclosure). I get a nice consistent rate over 400MBs with average files and barely dips with super complex large volumes. Even though it's barely slower than an NVMe in a good dock, it has this amazing ip68 water-resistant feature that has saved this drive for me many times over. Realistically we aren't talking about dropping it in water, I'm talking having it inside your pocket all day working and sweating through your clothes. Even accidentally ran it through the washer once on full cycle. No problems. I just wish I could own a few dozen of them.

I am a Level 1 computer technician, I use the drive to store ISO Images of Operating Systems, and Diagnostic Software, I have Dozens of Versions of Linux Several Versions of Windows, and over two Dozen Different Diagnostic apps! all on the FiT 256gig, But now it's getting full! this drive fits way to tight, requiring me to brace my laptop while inserting and removing it. it almost feels as if it's expanding the usb port from all the pressure the drive exerts on it, something that doesn't at all settle well with me when using on expensive laptops. it'd be a real shame to have a port fail because of the bulkiness of this drive. i have a couple older verbatim drives that are ever so slightly tight while inserting, and then click into place just right. they also have a minimal housing enclosure which can make them a bit tricky to get out. however, the housing has beveled grooves that run around the outer edge that can be easily gripped with a fingernail. also, their low profile allows a laptop to be stored into a sleeve without removal. thank you and good day.

This Drive in particular is solid in its weight, which is totally fine to me, cause at least I know it is made well and can take a beating. I have personally dropped my drive in water, and put it through the ringer multiple times, and it still has yet to fail me. I am tech-savvy, so I know that the advertised speeds will only run in the best scenarios with compatible devices or hardware. If you want a trustworthy drive, look no further. I use this for school and have another one I use to load operating systems on computers that are in constant use. All I can say is, in my experience, Samsung storage devices have yet to fail me.

I bought this product a while back and couldn't be happier. I like that I no longer need an OTG adapter to carry around extra memory for my S24 Ultra. I loved the Note 9 with it's OTG adapter included, but products like this one make the need for such additional hardware virtually obsolete. While cheaper options are available I like the rapid read and write speeds, it's so fast it seems like there is no difference between read and write. Will buy again! Five stars

i don't know what to say but the drive works well and seem to be built better than all the others out there. i've not tested the speeds because it is just for files, and files transfer very fast on most modern drives. i have two that i trust with all my personal files which are accessed and modified every day for years now. great for laptops to avoid damage when moving around with the laptop. just the best drive on the market as far as i'm concerned.

I ordered this back in November. The fact that I had to order this in the first place because samsung is to cheap to put the same speed reader in their phones any longer is utter and complete garbage and a money grab by samsung! The tech is there obviously if you can sell this device for that price and the phones can read it at reasonable speeds using the USB c port they could make it inside the phone and give us back our internal expandable memory. 8k photos and videos take up way to much space to only have 256gb internal storage. This drive is fast compact and quite frankly easy to lose lol. Just recording my best friends wedding and only the vows in 8k everything else in 4k and it took almost 100gb of storage! Combine that with the apps used daily and there is no more space on the phone. This external memory and money grab by samsung is required!

Every process it endured was proficient, efficient, expedient, and seamless. I've used this device for over a year. I used it pretty hard when I first got it. It was a drive for a Windows 10 IoT install on a Raspberry Pi 4 for almost 2 months. The drive still writes data at around 230 MB/s and reads at almost 380 MB/s consistently. On USB 2, it starts at around 300 MB/s but slows down to 6.7 MB/s and stays there for the rest of the transfer. This is a solid USB drive. Best one I've used so far.

The metal body is sleek and seems well built. The form looks great and doesn't get in the way of other drives. One issue is the write and read speeds are very slow. I've run many tests and I'm getting 25 mbs. The same as my USB 2 devices. It's a good price for a large amount of memory. Just don't trust their reported speeds. "Up to 300MB/s Data Transfer Speed" doesn't mean anything about normal write speeds.

i have been using this flash drive for 2 months now. after a month it started disconnecting and reconnecing to the computer. and now it's been giving me errors all day which has resulted is lost data and data that has relocated from one folder to another. love my samsung phone, hate my samsung flash drive. i read that some other usb flash drives offer some type of recovery. would be nice if this one did.

This Flash drive is everything I didn't know I needed. For starters, Samsung claims 128GB of storage and upon checking I can confirm that it does indeed allow storage up to 128GB. Wow. Loving the type C connection, I'm fan girl obsessed with the design and compact size. It sorta feels like each time I use this flash drive, I become one with it.... harmoniously of course. 10/10 super cute GET IT ❤️

Looks really durable. I also think they are resistant to heat and maybe waterproof would be cool. If not weather resistance would be next level. The download speed is also another great thing about it. Love it amd recommend to anyone

I bought got this a few days ago and it works way better than My previous San-disk of half the size, but i am concerned about the assembling as the part the vertical side that says "Samsung" seems to move when i rub the end of and make clicking sound, I dont know if this intentional but id like an answer, I could send video. this meets my standard in functionality just need some clarification.

Cannot use Samsung FIT Plus as intended on a Macbook Pro. Samsung markets FIT Plus as being so small that you can leave it in your computer's USB port as if it is permanent, additional storage for your computer. When Macbook Pro sleeps FIT Plus is improperly disconnected. On waking from sleep, the OS warns that the FIT Plus was not ejected properly. This can result in data loss.

I bought 3 of the 128g flash drives since I like the Samsung brand, unfortunately I should have performed more research. I purchased last year in Oct. 1 of the 3 that I purchased stopped working the instant I tried using it, the 2nd stopped working properly after roughly 6 months, it started disconnecting constantly to the point where it was unusable. I will not be purchasing these again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Besides the obvious facts about how fast this flash drive is, which I'm sure other reviews will talk about, I wanted to take a moment and mention some of the other aspects. This flash drive looks and feels extremely durable. Some drives just feel flimsy but this one, after handling it for just a moment, makes you realize "okay, my data is actually safe from the everyday wear and tear that everything is inevitably going to go through". The drive has a very professional aesthetic to it, and is still able to pull off looking stylish. It even has a slot for a keychain ring. It fits nicely into any device without fear of it being weighted down. On the far edge of the drive, it displays "Samsung" with that same professional style to it. I would highly recommend this line of flash drives to anyone. The form factor is my favorite to date, and still maintains blazing fast speeds and professional aesthetic.
