When it's folded, I actually enjoy the narrower aspect of the cover screen that doesn't feel too wide in my hand. When it's unfolded, I can use the screen real estate for productivity by having both email and calendar open side by side, or I can use it for watching sport and talking rubbish with my friends at the same time. Very happy with my first foldable, and I feel like this is going to have a similar effect on me as the first time I started using dual displays with my PC: can't go back to one screen now.

I saw the major improvement to front screen aspect ratio and thickness in the Z Fold 7 and was super keen. Z Fold 8 Ultra continued the upgrades and made the crease less noticeable so I immediately pre ordered. Been using it for 2 weeks now and even my partner, who's using a non-android device (iykyk) is jealous. Super happy but also super excited at the direction samsung folds are going. The standard Fold 8 also doesnt fall far behind so I'm keen to try that a few generations in.

The Vodafone store even told me I was the first person to pick one up from them, which was pretty cool! The phone is incredibly fast and smooth, especially when multitasking. The camera has been a big improvement and takes great photos and videos. The crease is also much less noticeable. I’ve also been impressed with the AI capabilities. The folding mechanism seems more sturdy, the crease on the inner screen is basically non-existent during typical usage, and the phone is so light! It's amazing that this is so much more improved than other folding phones while being so slim and nice to hold and easy to read. I've been putting it through its paces with gaming a lot as well, and the battery has held strong and barely drains compared to previous models. This is a seriously good phone, and if you enjoyed previous folding phones - you'll love this one.

At 4.1mm unfolded it's the thinnest foldable Samsung has made, and it no longer feels like a compromise device you carry for the novelty. The 8-inch inner display is genuinely the reason to own this thing — reading, email, side-by-side work, all of it stops feeling like a phone. The 5,000mAh silicon-carbon battery finally lasts a full day without negotiation, which previous Folds never managed for me. The base Fold 8 is the smarter buy. The Ultra is the better phone.

The Z Fold 8 Ultra is so extremely thin that its just the size of a normal phone when folded, and unfolded becomes extremely easy to hold. Even with the thin body, Samsung did not skimp out on battery size or the processor speed. It has one of the longest battery lives I've had on a phone in a while. The anti reflective coating on the inner display makes it so easy to view in harsh outdoor lighting too. If you're on the edge of whether the ultra model is worth it, I'd say go for it.

Coming from a Galaxy Flip, I was worried it would be too bulky for everyday use, but it fits comfortably in my pocket. The only drawback is that a premium phone at this price point should include a Galaxy S Pen and have dedicated storage for it built into the device.

The 7 was an exciting unit and the camera was a vast improvement and I really like the larger closed format. I knew rhe Fold 8 Ultra was physically rhe same size and I was expecting that. Technically it was again a superior phone and rhe Thinner format factor and vastly improved camera were very welcome. I am a serious technology user and utilise to rhe fullest the multitasking and brilliant open screen. Well done. I was hoping for a much improved battery life over the Fold 7 as I'm on rhe unit more or less 10 - 12 hours a day and do appreciate the Fold 8s increased battery capabilities and make full use of the fast charging.

To start, the front screen is perfect for one hand control. This was a limitation with the s24 ultra but the aspect ratio allows me to type, scroll and navigate without having to move my hand up the phone. I've found the screen on opening is a lot smoother and I prefer that there is no cut out of where camera on the Fold 6 was. The battery life so far is better than previously and the phone feels a lot slimmer. I find when closed the phone screen is easier to use as a normal phone without the need to open. I often found the 6 could be a bit harder to use the front screen.

FOLD Ultra in comparison to GALAXY Ultra, Fold is stylish, compact when folded and fits in my palm better than Galaxy Ultra, its lighter, its great for Netflix when unfolded. Its slightly slower but not sure if thats due to my network. The only compromise I have made is the lack of stylus, hence I have called it almost PERFEC-t. Love it and highly recommend!

Still has the issue of the front screen being narrow (needs to be the same width as the S26 ultra) when viewing Facebook or some video's they don't fit properly on the screen. Need to get rid of the camera bump or offer cases that have a raised part on the opposite side of the camera to stop wobbling when on a flat serface.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I upgraded from a Fold5 after three years, and the two things that always bothered me about it were the weight and the battery. The Fold8 Ultra fixes both. It's noticeably thinner and lighter, so it finally feels like a normal phone when closed. And the battery comfortably lasts a full day now, even with heavy use, where the Fold5 usually needed a top-up by mid afternoon. I use the main screen a lot, work apps during the day and videos or reading in the evening, so the display improvements matter to me. The crease that was always visible on my Fold5 is now hard to spot unless you're looking for it, and the hinge feels much more solid when opening and closing. I went with the graphite in 256GB, which has been plenty of storage so far. My only real complaint after a week is that it's a tall phone, so it sits high in smaller pockets. Beyond that, this is the upgrade I was waiting for. If you're still using a Fold5 or older, it's an easy recommendation.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I nearly never bought the fold 8 ultra because of the features advertised, but, I compared it with the fold 7 and on looking at the comparison the fold 7 comes out on top, the big thing for me was the lack of a blue tick on the fold 8 ultra because I live in the country. BUT. I bought the fold 8 ultra perhaps I was hoping for a miracle with the latest phone, I was not disappointed, my wife has a blue tick phone and I can honestly say that the fold 8 ultra held on to the signal alongside my wife's blue tick phone in areas that the blue tick phone was barely holding a signal the fold 8 ultra was still holding on with the same strength in signal. I believe that it should have had a blue tick , along with all the other features it ticks all the boxes and actually better than expected. My 2 cents worth is that the fold 8 ultra is worth every cent and I am not disappointed that I purchased this phone nor will you be . It's a great phone with great features and amazing battery time and signal strength, don't let the written specifications put you of I think if anything it puts it down a bit.. Over all I think that it's a great phone and we'll worth the price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently switched from the S25 Ultra to the new Fold 8 Ultra, and I honestly didn't expect to enjoy the change as much as I do. The biggest difference for me has been multitasking. On my S25 Ultra, I rarely ever had more than one app open at a time. With the Fold 8 Ultra, having two apps open side by side has become something I use every day, and it makes a surprising difference. I was also shocked by how well the phone fits in my pocket. In the past, I've had friends with foldables and could never see myself owning one because of their size. The Fold 8 changes that. I was initially worried about the crease in the middle of the screen, but after a week of use, I honestly don't notice it anymore. The new titanium screen seems to have made a big difference. The only thing I'd improve is the cover screen. It's a little smaller than the S25 Ultra, although it's definitely not a deal breaker. Overall, if you're using a regular flagship phone and want to try something different, I'd definitely recommend giving the Fold 8 Ultra a go. It's changed the way I use my phone, and I don't think I'd want to go back to a traditional phone now.
