[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used Flip6 before and now I change to Flip8. First thing I notice, the main screen is more wide than before, it feel more comfortable to use. Also the hinge, when I fold and unfold, the crease line on the screen almost cannot see anymore. Before on Flip6 I always feel it when I touch there but now it is really smooth, I was surprised. Cover display also got much bigger and resolution is really good. Before I only use it for check time or notification but now I can actually do more thing on it. One more thing, when I take photo using cover screen (for selfie with main camera), the preview looks more clear and sharp than Flip6. I don't know why but it just look better quality now. Overall I'm happy I upgrade

And the larger cover screen is a great improvement—it’s much more practical and actually makes it easier to use the phone without opening it. I love flip because it fits in all my small purses and my pocket in my scrubs. I have noticed a much faster processing capacity and smoother opening from beinf closed. I was hesistant to upgrade this time around since I knew there weren't a lot of changes made from Z flip 7 which I most recently had. But I'm glad I chose to upgrade since this one feels better in a lot of ways: processing speed, weight, screen folding etc. I'm excited to explore more of this phone and get more out of it. The Flip8 fits in my pockets so much better than my last small galaxy S24. And, I enjoy the retro feeling of flipping the phone open! The Flip8 may not have noticeable advancements from my last S24, but I am enjoying the style. The screen is great. The battery life is good, but not a huge improvement over other new phones. That would be my only criticism. It's all about the compact size for me. Please don't stop making Flips! And, please keep making phones in light colors. It's easier to find in a bag.

Even when I'm working, I can slightly flip the phone and keep it for video mode on without having to rely on anything else. My hands don't get tired of holding the phone. Plus Z flip 8 has some a cute feature of choosing multiple pictures for the lock screen, which helps me put pictures of my loved ones and reminds me of them whenever I look at my phone. Additionally, the phone is so light, the screen feels extremely good different and smooth. Even after flipping the phone, it doesn't show the line. Samsung has taken phones to some other level. Crazily in love with my new phone.

My first flip phone was a samsung small red flip phone with a little antenna and tiny blue light on the top left whenever i get a message. 20 years later this flip 8 almost mimic my first one but it's better. The size is just right and of course everything else has been improved as far as technology, the esthetic and sound. I chose this creamy flip 8 phone and i couldn't be happier. I recently upgraded from the Motorola RAZR plus 2024 and I've got to say, while having a similar look and feel, the overall experience is mind boggingly different. From the extra half centimetre of width to the customization, cohesiveness and ease of the Samsung family. Truly a beautiful product inside and out. The camera is amazing, the display feels ingrained and like that of a regular no flip phone. I can't attest to the durability as it is protected like fort Knox on a bad day. Battery is ok from what I've experienced so far but I assume it will get better as it learns my usage patterns.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Finally upgraded from the Z Flip 5 to this after several years of reliable use (the battery was finally starting to give out). Overall greatly enhanced experience! Able to do a lot more on cover screen and the device is thinner and lighter (slightly wider, though). The screen quality is also noticeably better. I chose the Z Flip series over Razr because I'm more used to the Samsung system. I'm so happy they finally expanded the cover screen to surround the camera lenses on the Flip 7 and 8 like the Razr series has had for yesrs already.

The 8 does have decent updates; however, these updates are more so for convenience rather than needs for increased usability. For me personally, I could've gone without the upgrade to the 8. I only upgraded due to the rumors of this being the last flip so I wanted to make sure I had the latest version if this were to be true. I think if you enjoy the flip 7 and don't need or can't afford the upgrade, then you're good and aren't missing out on much.

It's completely smooth and a visually stunning display. The move to make the front screen the entire front cover and more functional was the right choice. Time will tell if the screen holds up better than the 5, but overall the phone feels less fragile while also being sleeker. While it is larger than the Z Flip 5, it is thinner and still fits in the teeny tiny pockets they put on women's clothing. The camera quality is great and I can open multiple apps and stream or use Android Auto without the phone overheating. The battery seems to last significantly longer too. After a full day of use I'm at 71% compared to around 40% on my old phone.

So I get the best of both worlds. I really enjoy the front screen for quick peak at emails, messages and apps. This zflip8 really makes mobility with connection a must have. I feel free from from what seemed liked carrying a brick from the previous phones. They would stick out of your pocket with a bulky inconvenient carry. Very pleased with with this purchase so happy now.

I bought this to replace my old Flip5 and it did not disappoint! the display where the fold is has a less noticable crease (for now) and remains very responsive. I love the large cover display. Just wish it was a tad cheaper, but the pre-sale deals helped!

The camera is much improved and the battery life feels a lot better. I love the amount of care and thought Samsung gave to the external screen, what you can do now on the outside is so impressive it's almost like having two phones in one. The color is also very nice with the pink tone. Also the opening and closing now is much better than before it has a more satisfying click when it opens and closes. Samsung also continues to do an incredible job with the crease in the screen when the Z Fold 8 is opened.

Most notable of the improvements of the Flip 8 vs the Flip 7 is the speed and battery life. I know the battery power did not significantly change from last year, but it appears the processing speed change has had a positive effect on battery life. I was nervous about giving up my S Pen but the novelty and practicality of the flip have definitely made up for it. I love how versatile the flip cover is and how you can use it with many apps while keeping your phone in the smaller format and I love how sleek and small the phone transforms but when open I have just about the same screen size as I did with my s25 ultra. I particularly I'm impressed with how unnoticeable the crease in the phone is when in use and open. In fact I almost forgot that the phone flipped the first day I was playing around with it because the crease is so undetectable if anyone has had hesitation now is a good time to get into it. Also coming from the s25 ultra I am loving how light and thin this phone is.

The biggest improvement for me, though, is the battery life. With my Flip 6, I was always keeping an eye on the battery throughout the day. With the Flip 8, I can use my phone all day without constantly worrying about finding a charger. That alone has made a huge difference in everyday use. I like how it is slim and good for hikes. When unfolded, it is bigger than my S25+. Overall, 5/5.

I am someone who upgrades my mobiles frequently, but my upgrades have been exclusively with another Samsung Galaxy Z Flip series ever since it first came out. I had the original, the Flip3, Flip5, Flip6 (loved the yellow colour) and now the Flip8. The phone has proved reliable and with never a crease or crack, I just like to take advantage of Samsung's generous trade-in. I also appreciate that the Flip (so far) still includes a pSIM (nano-SIM) along with eSIM technology. I travel overseas a lot and in some countries an actual physical SIM can be a plus.

I chose the flip lineup as they were comapct, easy to carry, and a fun gimmick. now, the Z Flip 8 has adressed the only thing i did not like about the flips so far, and that was the limited functionality of the front screen. i can use the front screen now as i would the main screen basically, which makes some tasks on the phone easier. one thing that really stood out was the refresh rate on the screen. its incredibly fast, almost the fastest ive ever seen on a phone. the crease is also practically invisible, and barely tangible during use when compared to the z flip 6. the only thing i have to critizise so far are the lame colours the phone comes in (i got mine in mint) but ultimately that is a minor thing. would recomend!

The camera quality is good ,smooth and colors so vibrant,video performance is amazing. I play games a lot and the flip did not over heat on me ,no lag and very responsive. The one thing I can't get over is how light weight it is and thin yet its still easy to open with one hand, I've noticed the spring in the the hinge, at a certain point on opening the flip, you can feel it open on its own and you can still fold it to watch movies without a problem on the small screen or just simply opening it too. I love on the small screen you can adjust the screen size or rotate the phone for any app without restrictions. Im so happy I upgraded I am loving my phone more and more each day.

I switched to the Flip 6 upon its launch, and I just received a new Flip 8. As someone who loves to stream videos and music, I appreciate the improved screen quality on the Flip 8 with no visible screen crease on the interior screen due to the titanium upgrade. The slightly larger overall size is a better fit for my hand while still compact enough to fit comfortably and securely in my pockets. I am using Gemini vs. Google assistant and it's a game changer for instant access to facts, information and tasking.
