[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My first attempt at a folding phone was a Microsoft Surface Duo. Since then I've owned almost every single version of the Zfold series. They just keep getting better and more durable. I chose the Zfold 8 Ultra as an upgrade to my Zfold 7 because of the extra battery capacity, the newer CPU, the better camera, the better screens (love the more matte look over the shiny), and an ever better hinge. Most of the time, I only use the front screen, but if I want to show off a family picture, or zoom in on an article, I just unfold the phone. Most people are absolutely amazed and ask me what the phone is called. The phone size fits well in my back pocket.

It's my 1st folding Samsung after having several Samsung Galaxy phones before this and I was impressed with he flip screen. My main issue with this phone is that my Garmin will now not pair to this phone despite 4 hours of doing a vast number of suggested actions to try to pair the two devices. My previous phone had no issues at all and as a daily cyclist this is a huge blow for me when spending this amount of money on a device. I would research Garmin connectivity online before buying any phone to avoid having this problem, I'm sure a quick search will help highlight the devices to avoid, unfortunately I didn't expect to have to do this kind of research on a new Samsung.

When it's folded, I actually enjoy the narrower aspect of the cover screen that doesn't feel too wide in my hand. When it's unfolded, I can use the screen real estate for productivity by having both email and calendar open side by side, or I can use it for watching sport and talking rubbish with my friends at the same time. Very happy with my first foldable, and I feel like this is going to have a similar effect on me as the first time I started using dual displays with my PC: can't go back to one screen now.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose to upgrade from my Z Fold 6 to the Z Fold 8 Ultra due to the camera and display updates, and so far it did not disappoint. The 200MP camera is a big improvement over the 50MP on the 6, and the wider front screen makes it easier to use, and the antireflective inside screen with a barely noticeable crease is a pleasure to use. I only hope that the inside screen does not delaminate, like every previous generation has.

It's a excellent engineering masterpiece insanely sleek and taking this genuine beauty amazes you every time you pick it up, it's made so rugged but it seems so delicate every time I use it, out of all my Z Folds I used undoubtedly this is by far the best fold. I am sure that Samsung and it's team will continue to amaze us with the coming up Fold series, I am very eager to see what more can be done to upgrade the existing Fold 8 Ultra as it already feels like a Glass sheet to use as a phone. I saw the major improvement to front screen aspect ratio and thickness in the Z Fold 7 and was super keen. Z Fold 8 Ultra continued the upgrades and made the crease less noticeable so I immediately pre ordered. Been using it for 2 weeks now and even my partner, who's using a non-android device (iykyk) is jealous. Super happy but also super excited at the direction samsung folds are going. The standard Fold 8 also doesnt fall far behind so I'm keen to try that a few generations in.

The Vodafone store even told me I was the first person to pick one up from them, which was pretty cool! The phone is incredibly fast and smooth, especially when multitasking. The Display is probably my favourite part, its big and bright and makes watching videos and multitasking much better. Performance is also really smooth, apps open fast and I havent noticed much lag so far. Battery life has been pretty good for me, although heavy use does drain it quicker like you would expect. The Hinge feels solid and the overall Durability seems good, but I still find myself being a bit careful with a foldable phone. Overall I like it a lot, especially for work and multitasking. Its expensive but if you actually use the big screen then I think it makes more sense.

I received my Galaxy Fold 8 Ultra only 1 week ago. Still discovering all the benefits in this new phone since my Note 10. Not really missing the pen. As keyboard is responsive on outer screen. Loving the size when folded and being able to read my books, without having to carry another device. The fold line is not visible for me and as I am traveling this week I am exploring all the configurations. The tutorials are helping me, but as a 70 year old I plan to make an appointment at a Samsung experience store to hone in on features most beneficial to my usage. The battery has been great lasting up to 3 days with frequent use for maps, searches etc as we travel. With only one week i am treating carefully, so not yet able to comment on durability. Hoping to keep this phone longterm!

The folding mechanism seems more sturdy, the crease on the inner screen is basically non-existent during typical usage, and the phone is so light! It's amazing that this is so much more improved than other folding phones while being so slim and nice to hold and easy to read. I've been putting it through its paces with gaming a lot as well, and the battery has held strong and barely drains compared to previous models. This is a seriously good phone, and if you enjoyed previous folding phones - you'll love this one.

I’ve been extremely impressed with the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra. What stands out most is how Samsung managed to give it such a large, beautiful folding display while keeping the phone surprisingly thin and light. It feels much more comfortable to carry and use than I expected from a foldable with this much screen space. The inner display is easily my favourite feature. Once unfolded, it feels like having a small tablet in my pocket. Reading websites, checking emails, viewing photos and videos, and working with documents are all much more enjoyable on the larger screen. Multitasking is also excellent. Being able to have multiple apps open at the same time makes the Fold especially useful for productivity. I can check an email while looking at another app, browse the web while taking notes, or move between tasks without constantly switching back and forth. I also really appreciate that I can use the outer screen like a regular smartphone when I just need to do something quickly, then unfold it whenever I want the extra space. It gives me the best of both a phone and a tablet in one device. The combination of the large folding display, thinner and lighter design, and excellent multitasking has made the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra one of the most enjoyable smartphones I’ve used. I chose Galaxy Z fold 8 ultra for mobility yet having the flexibility to be productive on the go. Also the portable big screen for entertainment or presentation was a deal breaker for me. From showing a plan on site to the clients to watching videos and reading articles, there is hands down no other phone with the best battery life, crisp screen, slim design and vivid colorful high res screens. I chose the violet shadow color which I absolutely love. It's dark and now too flashy, perfect for my taste. I just love the phone!

The screen fingerprint reader was such a mess especially if you were using a screen protector. Transferring my old phone to this one was so simple it made it like the phone was set up just for me. I prefer this phone over the regular Fold 8 because I can open it half way if I want to and close this is such a small phone than my oldest 24 Ultra. I also didn't like how the case would rub on my ears when talking on the phone. They Samsung graphite case for this phone is so perfect because the magnetic backing and it doesn't rub my ears when using it as a phone.

However when i look at the unfolded screen I get a big smile on my face. The screen is beautiful. I love how when navigating different it splits the open apps and the available apps on different sides of the screen. I just received it and am in love with it. Easy to grab and has a nice snap feel. The only reason I didnt grab the last year model was because of the battery and the fast charge capability. But now this new phone has 45 watt charge speed and 5000 mAh, just like the S26 ultra. And they werent lying about the improvements they made to the inner screen. You can barely see the crease and it has anti reflection on it too. Being able to also multi-task with google and notes is amazing. I will be sticking with this phone for as long as I can.

At 4.1mm unfolded it's the thinnest foldable Samsung has made, and it no longer feels like a compromise device you carry for the novelty. The 8-inch inner display is genuinely the reason to own this thing — reading, email, side-by-side work, all of it stops feeling like a phone. The 5,000mAh silicon-carbon battery finally lasts a full day without negotiation, which previous Folds never managed for me. The base Fold 8 is the smarter buy. The Ultra is the better phone.

So far the experience has been great. Still trying to get used to the small front screen (compared to the 24U) and doing more mult app tasks. There is a learning curve to use the big inner screen. The phone is very slim, even with a case, it is almost the same size as the 24U. Battery life is great, as good as my 24U. Gaming is beautiful. Pair with a mobile controller (like a Gamesir G8+) you got a great handheld device. Great job Samsung. Keep improving the fold line and there will be a lot more customers switching from IOS to Android.

They have lessened the crease, put better cameras in and it comes with the latest android software. I have been a Fold user since the Fold 3 and I don't see myself going back. I use the multitasking split screen feature almost everyday. The phone is buttery smooth and feels like a normal candy bar phone when Folded. I am really enjoying my experience with this phone and I'm still learning how to take and edit pictures in a more creative way. The new edit feature that allows you to edit photos and video along with the new filters allow you to create some really cool looking media.
