[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Okay so I need to talk about my Galaxy Z Fold 8, because switching over from my Pixel 7 Pro has genuinely been a lightbulb moments. I loved my Pixel 7 Pro, don't get me wrong. It took gorgeous photos with zero effort and the software just worked. But after a few years with it, everything started to feel... small. Reading client emails, editing gallery proofs on the go, even just scrolling through Instagram to check my Off Script posts, I kept wishing the screen was bigger. Turns out I just needed it to actually get bigger. The fold is the whole thing Opening this phone up into a mini tablet has completely changed how I work between shoots. I can pull up a client's proof gallery, look at two images side by side, and actually see the details instead of squinting and pinching to zoom like I did on the Pixel. Editing on the go, replying to booking enquiries with the keyboard split across both sides, it just feels like a proper little workstation in my bag. Camera I was worried I'd miss the Pixel's camera, because honestly it set a high bar for me as a photographer. But the Z Fold 8 has held its own: colours are rich, low light is solid, and being able to use the cover screen as a viewfinder for selfies with the main cameras is such a nice touch I didn't know I needed. One UI vs stock Android This was the biggest adjustment. Stock Android on the Pixel was clean and simple, no arguments there. One UI took me a minute to get used to, but now that I've got it set up the way I like, I actually prefer it. Multitasking two apps side by side, dragging a photo straight from my gallery into an email, dragging and dropping between split screens, it makes the Pixel feel a bit one-note in hindsight. Everyday stuff Battery life has genuinely surprised me, easily getting me through a full shoot day. The hinge feels solid, not flimsy like I half expected going in. And there's something satisfying about closing it shut like a little book when I'm done for the day. Durability and speed I'll admit the hinge worried me more than anything before I bought it, visions of dust getting in or it feeling wobbly after a few months. But, it snaps open and shut with confidence, the screen doesn't show any creasing that bothers me when I'm actually using it and just feels tougher in the hand than I expected from something that folds in half. Speed-wise it's noticeably snappier than the Pixel ever was, even towards the end when the Pixel started lagging on me during multitasking. Switching between apps, flicking through big photo files, having three things open at once, none of it makes the Fold break a sweat. It just keeps up. Would I go back? Honestly, no. The Pixel 7 Pro was a brilliant phone and I have zero regrets about the years I spent with it. But the Z Fold 8 feels like it was actually built for how I work: client galleries, editing, juggling ten conversations at once, not just for taking a nice photo and scrolling. It's the first phone in a long time that's changed how I actually use it, not just what it looks like doing it.

This is my first foldable device and to be honest, I've been reluctant to make the switch but boy am I glad I did. The cover display on its own is so useful, I find I use it for every day stuff like emails and answering messages. But when I want to do a bit more, I open the phone and use that amazing large screen. That hinge mechanism is a thing of beauty! Battery life has been solid and is getting better each day as the phone optimises things. On my third charge I had about 35% left at the end of the day. Performance wise, the responsiveness of the display and OneUI is so slick and speedy. Awesome. My one remaining question mark is over durability but that will be answered in the time to come. The device certainly feels solid so I am expecting good things.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely loved my Fold 7 and was debating if I should go with Fold 8 Ultra or Fold 8 (wide). After much debate, I decided to try to new passport style form factor and after a week I can say I love it! My big positives: 1. Passport size fits better in pockets and small bags. Front screen keyboard is better for typing and you lose a bit of scrolling but not too bad. 2. When opened, the wide screen is great for videos but not for scrolling sites/social. When turned 90 degrees, it is perfect for scrolling! I have gotten used to picking up my phone vertically now. 3. It is about 10% lighter. Not too noticeable, but over time you can kind of tell you are holding a lighter phone. Highly recommend it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the white Galaxy Z Fold 8, and I’m genuinely very impressed with it. The biggest improvement for me is the battery life. It lasts noticeably longer than my previous Z Fold 7, and I rarely have to worry about running out of battery during the day. I also really like the new anti-reflective coating on the display. It makes a noticeable difference, especially when using the phone outdoors or under bright lighting, and the screen looks fantastic. But probably my favourite thing about the Z Fold 8 is simply taking it out with me. The white version looks incredibly clean and premium, and I’m honestly surprised by how often people ask me what phone I’m using. Almost every time I go out, someone notices it or asks about it because they think it looks beautiful and unique. It might sound like a small thing, but I genuinely enjoy that feeling. It makes the phone feel special, and I’m quite proud to carry it around. Overall, this is easily my favourite Fold so far — excellent battery life, a beautiful display, and a design that really stands out.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Coming from the Pixel foldables, I'm enjoying the light weight, thinness and compactness of the Z Fold8. Unfortunately you do have to deal with the multiple versions of the same apps and Samsung's take on them. For example you need to use the Samsung clock app to use the sleep schedule as a condition for Routines, even if the Google clock app has the same sleep schedule. The friction between the two worlds is not the best for the end user, battling to turn off Samsung Wallet quick access gestures and settings up Google Wallet instead as another example. There's also lots of useful settings not enabled by default, and a tonne of non useful stuff which is battling for attention. The hardware however speaks for itself and it sparks genuine joy to use.
I bought galaxy z fold 8 just 2 days back. Just wonderful. Shaped differently from other mobiles. So well sized. Though it looks shorter than other mobiles, it actually has the same screen size when the fold is opened up to full view. Battery charge seems good as of now.

I was worried to buy fold type phone because I heared its weak durability from my friends. But Samsung has developed its durability with strong hinge. Battery is similar to my s24 ultra with higher brightness screen. Touch screen responsiveness is also.good. Im satisfied to its mertitasking performance. But Samsung should adjust speaker position. And I hope bigger main and cover screen to next generation. Overall, it is recommendable.

I'll be straight: I was skeptical this form factor was worth the price. I was wrong. The inner screen is the thing. Photos don't do it justice, opening this up at a desk and having what feels like a tablet in your pocket is genuinely useful, not just a party trick. Multitasking on the inner display has changed how I work on the go. I'm in Dubai, so I'm always moving between meetings, and having two apps side by side without squinting has been a real shift. The mint/green colorway looks better in person than in marketing shots. Clean, understated. Hinge feels solid, no wobble, closes flush. Previous folds I tried had a slight gap. This doesn't. Camera is competent. Not the reason to buy this phone, but it won't embarrass you. The crease is still there. Anyone telling you otherwise hasn't used one. You stop noticing it after a few days, but it's there. Battery gets me through a full day in the Dubai heat with moderate use. Don't expect two days. Would I buy it again? Yes. Is it for everyone? No you need to actually use the inner screen or you're paying a premium for a party trick.

I have just received my pistachio Z fold 8 I can say it is my perfect match The outer screen size is perfect not large and not small just perfect The inner display is phenomenal crisp and clear I can easily handle my daily tasks from reading mails and taking notes The crease is now reduced u can only notice it in certain angels The hinge closure and opening is so good The materials looks durable and catchy The touch screen response is perfect no typos I believe they enhanced the calibration. The battery also has significant improvement over my latest S25 phone it survive the day easily I used the main camera it is very good and selfie is also good.
