They just keep getting better and more durable. I chose the Zfold 8 Ultra as an upgrade to my Zfold 7 because of the extra battery capacity, the newer CPU, the better camera, the better screens (love the more matte look over the shiny), and an ever better hinge. Most of the time, I only use the front screen, but if I want to show off a family picture, or zoom in on an article, I just unfold the phone. Most people are absolutely amazed and ask me what the phone is called. The phone size fits well in my back pocket.

The 200MP camera is a big improvement over the 50MP on the 6, and the wider front screen makes it easier to use, and the antireflective inside screen with a barely noticeable crease is a pleasure to use. I only hope that the inside screen does not delaminate, like every previous generation has.

When it's folded, I actually enjoy the narrower aspect of the cover screen that doesn't feel too wide in my hand. When it's unfolded, I can use the screen real estate for productivity by having both email and calendar open side by side, or I can use it for watching sport and talking rubbish with my friends at the same time. Very happy with my first foldable, and I feel like this is going to have a similar effect on me as the first time I started using dual displays with my PC: can't go back to one screen now.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My last fold was the Z Fold 3. I switched back to the S series as the Fold was a bit lacking in some specs. I started to miss the bigger screen. I saw the major improvement to front screen aspect ratio and thickness in the Z Fold 7 and was super keen. Z Fold 8 Ultra continued the upgrades and made the crease less noticeable so I immediately pre ordered. Been using it for 2 weeks now and even my partner, who's using a non-android device (iykyk) is jealous. Super happy but also super excited at the direction samsung folds are going. The standard Fold 8 also doesnt fall far behind so I'm keen to try that a few generations in.

It's a excellent engineering masterpiece insanely sleek and taking this genuine beauty amazes you every time you pick it up, it's made so rugged but it seems so delicate every time I use it, out of all my Z Folds I used undoubtedly this is by far the best fold. I am sure that Samsung and it's team will continue to amaze us with the coming up Fold series, I am very eager to see what more can be done to upgrade the existing Fold 8 Ultra as it already feels like a Glass sheet to use as a phone. The Vodafone store even told me I was the first person to pick one up from them, which was pretty cool! The phone is incredibly fast and smooth, especially when multitasking. The camera has been a big improvement and takes great photos and videos. The crease is also much less noticeable. I’ve also been impressed with the AI capabilities. There are plenty of useful features that actually make everyday tasks easier rather than just feeling like a gimmick. I’m very happy with the upgrade, I've had the fold 1, 2, 5 and now the 8 ultra. The Display is probably my favourite part, its big and bright and makes watching videos and multitasking much better. Performance is also really smooth, apps open fast and I havent noticed much lag so far. Battery life has been pretty good for me, although heavy use does drain it quicker like you would expect. The Hinge feels solid and the overall Durability seems good, but I still find myself being a bit careful with a foldable phone. Overall I like it a lot, especially for work and multitasking. Its expensive but if you actually use the big screen then I think it makes more sense.

The battery lasts so much longer not having to make sure its fully charged in the evening and still easily making it through the day. Dispaly is so much crisper and brighter. The folding mechanism seems more sturdy, the crease on the inner screen is basically non-existent during typical usage, and the phone is so light! It's amazing that this is so much more improved than other folding phones while being so slim and nice to hold and easy to read. I've been putting it through its paces with gaming a lot as well, and the battery has held strong and barely drains compared to previous models. This is a seriously good phone, and if you enjoyed previous folding phones - you'll love this one.

I chose Galaxy Z fold 8 ultra for mobility yet having the flexibility to be productive on the go. Also the portable big screen for entertainment or presentation was a deal breaker for me. From showing a plan on site to the clients to watching videos and reading articles, there is hands down no other phone with the best battery life, crisp screen, slim design and vivid colorful high res screens. I chose the violet shadow color which I absolutely love. It's dark and now too flashy, perfect for my taste. I just love the phone!

My biggest gripe however, is that the cameras lenses stick out too far and make for an awkward typing experience when the phone is sitting on a flat surface.

However when i look at the unfolded screen I get a big smile on my face. The screen is beautiful. At 4.1mm unfolded it's the thinnest foldable Samsung has made, and it no longer feels like a compromise device you carry for the novelty. The 8-inch inner display is genuinely the reason to own this thing — reading, email, side-by-side work, all of it stops feeling like a phone. The 5,000mAh silicon-carbon battery finally lasts a full day without negotiation, which previous Folds never managed for me. The base Fold 8 is the smarter buy. The Ultra is the better phone.

Easy to grab and has a nice snap feel. The only reason I didnt grab the last year model was because of the battery and the fast charge capability. But now this new phone has 45 watt charge speed and 5000 mAh, just like the S26 ultra. And they werent lying about the improvements they made to the inner screen. You can barely see the crease and it has anti reflection on it too. Being able to also multi-task with google and notes is amazing. I will be sticking with this phone for as long as I can.

Although the Z Fold 7 didn’t have a great battery—requiring a charge at least twice a day—the use of a higher-capacity battery in this model is a real success. So far the experience has been great. Still trying to get used to the small front screen (compared to the 24U) and doing more mult app tasks. There is a learning curve to use the big inner screen. The phone is very slim, even with a case, it is almost the same size as the 24U. Battery life is great, as good as my 24U. Gaming is beautiful. Pair with a mobile controller (like a Gamesir G8+) you got a great handheld device. Great job Samsung. Keep improving the fold line and there will be a lot more customers switching from IOS to Android.

They have lessened the crease, put better cameras in and it comes with the latest android software. I have been a Fold user since the Fold 3 and I don't see myself going back. I use the multitasking split screen feature almost everyday. The phone is buttery smooth and feels like a normal candy bar phone when Folded. I am really enjoying my experience with this phone and I'm still learning how to take and edit pictures in a more creative way. The new edit feature that allows you to edit photos and video along with the new filters allow you to create some really cool looking media.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Came from the Fold7. I wasn't sure if the upgrade would be worth it, but despite how incremental it is, it makes for a far more complete device! The hinge mechanism is far smoother and easier to open. The screen brightness boost makes a big difference (as does the anti-reflective layer on the inner screen) and the ultra wide camera upped to 50px really does make for more detailed photos. The faster charging is great too, I really notice it when in a rush to top up (though the battery is lasting longer already, the extra MAh really help). Plus the Shadow Green colourway is gorgeous. My favourite colour anyway, so it was a no brainer!
