I chose the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 because I wanted a phone with a larger screen that could still fit in my pocket. I use the cover screen for quick messages, calls, and checking notifications. When I open the phone, the larger display is very useful for watching videos, gaming, studying, and doing schoolwork. I also like using multiple apps at the same time, especially when I need to take notes while reading something online. The phone feels fast, the screen looks clear, and the folding design makes everyday tasks more convenient. It took me a little time to get used to all the features, but my overall experience has been very good.

Im so glad I chose this phone! I've had nothing but great experiences with it, and I'm still learning things it can do every day. I love to watch videos and this phone seems built for exactly that. Whether I'm watching the outer screen turned to the side for a quick short video, or need the cinematic experience of the larger inner screen, this device has me covered. When opened and held horizontal for apps like YouTube or vertical for apps like Facebook, the inner surface advantage comes alive. Oh, and I can reach everything with one hand now when it's closed! Can't say enough about the form factor. Great purchase 10 out of 5 stars, I love it.

Here's your review: **⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Loving my Galaxy Z Fold 8!** I chose the pistachio color and I'm so glad I did — it's such a fresh, elegant shade that stands out without being flashy. Photos really don't do it justice in person. Delivery was another pleasant surprise — it arrived earlier than the scheduled date, which made the wait even more exciting. As for the phone itself, it's very easy to handle and fits perfectly in my hand. Despite being a foldable, it doesn't feel bulky or awkward at all — just smooth, comfortable, and well-balanced. Overall, a fantastic purchase. Highly recommend if you're considering the pistachio colorway!

I was debating upgrading from the fold 7. Ultimately I chose to upgrade to the Fold 8 because the aspect ratio and the new design is amazing. It is the ultimate daily driver. I use my phone alot to watch movies, YouTube videos, and for reading. Reading on this phone is so comfortable on both the inner and outer displays. I find that in using the inner display alot more than I did on my previous fold because the new dimensions make it feel so much better in my small hands Also, the phone is just beautiful. I love that videos take up the whole screen on the outer display and the brightness on this phone makes everything look sharper.

This is my third foldable phone. I used to own galaxy Z fold 2 and Z fold 5. Both were pretty good but this one feels and is even better. For me the size is perfect, you can use the entire phone with a single hand even when you are using it as tablet mode. I think the technology got pretty much improved for the foldable system, it feels smooth when you fold and unfold the phone. Although the cameras are not the ones as the ultra the photos are very good. Also you can see that the battery lasts longer as the previous foldable phones as well as my galaxy s25 ultra. So Big improvement there too. Definitely my best foldable phone so far.

I chose this and the Razr fold to try. Both have their amazing benefits and bring what most users wanted to the market. I ended up returning the Razr for software alone. One UI is incredible and the Z Fold 8 is like having 3 devices in one. I rarely take photos but it's strange Samsung purposely set up a gen 2 with upgraded cameras. Keep us loyal at the onset! This device is amazingly light, strong, last long, has amazing screens, so easy and fun to use. Finally a phone is fun again! I got so sick and bored of the slabs and remote style. This for. Factor is perfect! Love it. So glad I chose to try this out, keeping it until gen 2.

I absolutely loved my Fold 7 and was debating if I should go with Fold 8 Ultra or Fold 8 (wide). After much debate, I decided to try to new passport style form factor and after a week I can say I love it! My big positives: 1. Passport size fits better in pockets and small bags. Front screen keyboard is better for typing and you lose a bit of scrolling but not too bad. 2. When opened, the wide screen is great for videos but not for scrolling sites/social. When turned 90 degrees, it is perfect for scrolling! I have gotten used to picking up my phone vertically now. 3. It is about 10% lighter. Not too noticeable, but over time you can kind of tell you are holding a lighter phone. Highly recommend it!

I am a long time Samsung Z Galaxy product user and I chose the new Fold 8 because of the form factor. The phone is the exact size of a Travel passport albeit a few mm thicker. I can hold the phone in my back pocket without it sticking out. I like that I can do most of my tasks using the apps on the cover screen because of the larger size. The rest of the phone features are what Samsung is known for. As for any negatives, I have owned previous Samsung Galaxy Z Flip and Fold phones versions and have had cover screen and screen issues. Hopefully Samsung has figured out to avoid the problem in it's 8th version of the phones.

I chose the Fold 8 for the screen, and multi window is what makes it a multimedia beast. I'll have a game running on the bottom half while YouTube plays up top and messages come in alongside it — three things at once, all usable, no swapping back and forth. Unfolded it's big enough that I've stopped reaching for a tablet for movies and shows, and the colors hold up in a dark room or outside. The speakers are louder and fuller than I expected from something this thin, and the fold itself feels solid in hand. Folded, it's still just a normal phone for music and podcasts on the go. One device that covers all of it.

I chose this let go of my Ultra 23 because I have been wanting a fold forever. The flip felt too small and I have been an Ultra girl since the note series. This phone ferls great in my hand. It feels like a mini book or even like a compact mirror. The screen is responsive. Flips through pages quickly. The colors of my videos, pictures and movies look stunning. I think the sound is louder than my S23 Ultra. My daughter complained it was too loud but not for me, lol. It's a great little phone and I can't wait until I can customize it even more. It's beautiful and sleek. I love the fingerprint sensor on the side. It responds quickly to unlock.

I chose the new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 because I really love the size, design, and overall quality. The screen looks amazing, and the size feels perfect for everyday use. It is comfortable to use while still giving me the large display experience that I love about the Fold series. One of the biggest improvements for me is the battery life. I have noticed that the battery lasts longer than it did on my Galaxy Z Fold 7, which makes a big difference throughout the day. The phone feels fast, smooth, and premium. I am extremely happy with my upgrade and definitely give the Galaxy Z Fold 8 a 5 out of 5!

I chose this device after much consideration, and I have been using it for a couple of days now with great satisfaction. The overall design, weight, in-hand feel, and ergonomics are fantastic. Both the cover display and the unfolded main screen look amazing and offer an incredible viewing experience. If I had to point out a few minor drawbacks, the placement of the heat dissipation feels a bit noticeable during heavy use, and I occasionally experience slight stuttering on a few specific apps. However, these are minor details compared to how good the rest of the phone is. Overall, it is an outstanding device and I highly recommend it.

While it took a brief adjustment period to get used to the shorter height, I chose this device because it delivers easily the best form factor available. It's wonderfully compact when folded, but unfolding it into a mini tablet completely changes the experience. Videos look fantastic on the inner display, and the anti-reflective screen coating makes a massive difference for visibility. The upgraded faster charging is a welcome quality-of-life improvement, and the cameras are completely sufficient for everyday photos. Most of all, it brought back that genuine sense of excitement for mobile technology that smartphones have lacked for a long time.

the perfect phone. I have had every model year of the Z Flip and several of the Z Fold. The Z Fold 8 is the perfect marriage of the two, and I chose it to replace my everyday use of the Flip. Within the first day, it became clear I wasn't going back to the Flip, which surprised me. I rarely used the cover screen on the Flip, although I had all the tools to do so. With the Fold 8, I use the front screen a lot and don't feel the need to open it every time I use it. And critical factor is that it fits in my pocket, which was a downfall with the previous Folds - too cumbersome for carrying. All in all, it's pretty perfect and I'm glad I chose it.

I chose the galaxy z fold 8 and I don't regret it one bit. The keyboard is nice and wide making it hard to type incorrectly. When opened the screen is amazing! Watching Netflix and YouTube on this is seriously impressive. When I want to play games I open it up and now I have a tablet, it really blew my expectations out of the water. I really like that the finger print reader is in the power button it makes more sense to have it there. This phone is way louder than my s26 was. The compact size of this phone when closed should be the new standard, it just feels more natural. I dont see myself ever going back to a candy bar shaped phone ever again.

I have owned every previous version of the Z fold product line, and I have to say, this is the absolute best Z fold yet. The Z fold 8 is the perfect size both when folded and in open modes. The screens are huge and have gorgeous display abilities. On the regular, I choose to stream TV, movies and live sports... All of them look crystal clear... And the crease is gone! The Z fold 8 is also very fast and capable of handling multiple tasks in open windows all at once. I truly love this iteration and almost wish I could get another one just for the fun of it! Thank you Samsung, for getting right again!

While I didnt have a big issue with the narrow nature of the fold7, it wasn't fully ideal to use. Often times I did use the inner screen more. With the fold8, I find myself using both screens evenly. I love consuming social media through the inner screen. My main reason for getting it was the long tablet feel of using the inner screen in portrait form. And it has not disappointed at all. I did worry about apps not working given other reviews, but none of my apps have had any conflicts or issues. The software has definitely prepared to make sure most apps work properly with both screens. 10/10 would recommend. Ps: this would be amazing with a 6000 mAH battery.

After years and years of owning Samsung devices, I chose the Fold 8 specifically because of the form factor. I always missed this passport form factor and I knew that once you open this device it would be no compromises. I use my phone extensively for work and now find myself increasingly not even carrying a laptop with me. With the new Fold 8 this has become the reality. This is the one device to rule them all! I don't need a laptop to do meetings, I don't need a laptop to type long documents. I don't need a laptop to review documents. Just fold open this device and you have the perfect tablet for everything you need to do. I am shocked at how thin this device is folded up. It's even more impossibly thin once you unfold the device. Battery life is stellar and no one does screens as exceptionally as Samsung. This might very well become my favorite phone of all time.

I choose to stick with Samsung photos since the foldable 3. This new form factor is what I have been waiting for since first teased in 2009. I use it a little for work but mostly for content. I now can use it one hand the book Style or passport style is perfect. Although the phone is not perfect I would like an S Pen, and better cameras but other than that I'm a happy camper. I buy a new phone from you every two years so looking forward to the future.

I’m really impressed with the Galaxy Z Fold 8. One of my favorite things is how compact and comfortable it feels when folded. The smaller size makes it much easier to hold and use with one hand, which is very convenient for everyday use. The new hinge design also feels like a nice improvement. It feels smooth and solid, and the crease on the main screen is noticeably less visible, giving the large display a cleaner and more premium look. Overall, the Fold 8 combines the convenience of a compact phone with the benefits of a large screen when you need it. Great design, easier one-handed use, improved hinge, and a better-looking main display. Very happy with it!

I've been using Samsung's Z Flip series since the Z Flip 3, all the way through the Z Flip 7. I've always liked the Z Fold lineup, but it was just too big for my hand and pocket. Reaching the notification bar with one hand was always a struggle. When Samsung released the passport-sized Z Fold 8, I was all in. I got mine on 8/4/26, and I absolutely love it! It's the perfect size for one-handed use, fits comfortably in my front pocket, and finally gives me the Fold experience I've been waiting for. Thank you, Samsung, for making a smaller Z Fold. You definitely gained a happy customer!

After a long evolution the zfold8 gives a fresh take on form factor and somehow feels right on a lot of parameters like usability and looks. I'm glad I chose the z fold8 device for my daily phone as it feels like a perfect sized phone in my palm when natural and unfolds to a beautiful larger screen when needed for video watching or some multitasking and even larger view of browsing websites. Feels good for reading anything on internet as well in portrait mode of large screen. Overall it's a beautiful experience that I'm not going to switch to any other form factor for a long time.

I chose the z fold 8. I've been really enjoying the phone. But there are a few things that are breaking the experience for me. Pros: This is a beast of a phone. It's snappy, good graphics. Media consumption is good. There are some bugs that still need to be worked out, like zoom and Instagram. I wanted something similar to the size of the z flip without having a useless front screen. This really delivers on that. The wider, shorter size has been sooo nice. I don't understand how this hasn't been the norm all along. Cons: I am so massively bothered by the placement of the camera. It needs to be horizontal across the back, top, center of the phone. There is no reason for it to cascade down the back, right side. It makes the phone rock when I put it down. And it makes the magnet on the back (for a pop grip or wireless charging) off-center. I need to be able to put the phone down flat on its back. The magnet being off-center, to me, is such a massive design flaw.

As a longtime foldable user (Fold4, Fold6, Fold7), it's incredible seeing innovations with every iteration. The Galaxy Z Fold8 builds on the legacy of the previous seven generations to give us the closest we've ever been to the perfect foldable. As an avid content-enthusiast, I chose the Fold8 for its popular aspect ratios, giving me a screen that's purpose built for the games I play and the videos I watch. It truly is hard to see where we go from here. I've got the best screen, biggest battery, lightest design, and smallest form factor all in one package. What more could I ask for?

For my upgrade this year, I chose the new Galaxy Z Fold 8 and I'm already obsessed with it! The new passport form factor is ELITE for watching movies, YouTube, any kind of video content. Unfolded, the new 4:3 aspect ratio is perfect for me since my main focus is always on consuming media with it unfolded. Its perfect for it since the new aspect ratio allows for less black bars and more of what you're watching. Even with it folded, the front screen is a passport size screen which I actually enjoy way more than my Fold 7. Its less narrow but shorter, but I have big hands and I find it way more comfortable to hold. I also love that it fits in my pockets better. All in all I'm so happy with my Z Fold 8!

I chose to purchase a new handset this month and I am very pleased to share that i am so excited and happy with my new device. It was remarkably easy to set up and transfer from my old device. I think the new passport size and shape is awesome. I plan to use it to search the web to gain new knowledge of how things work, also to manage my email and for work and entertainment. I think this new development is just too cool. Loving the lavender finish. The giant screen makes watching crochet tutorials on Youtube much easier to see. I think I'm going to accomplish great things with my new handset, it has such a great camera to help me capture and share pictures thank you!!

I chose the new Fold 8 to try the new size, but I am disappointed by the losses on the camera quality starting around 20ft away. In addition, the half folds (L shape) or tent fold (A Shape), don't seem to work that well. It actually measure up well next to my Fold 3, so I turn it long ways to type better, as the wide screen makes the keyboard too long for me. I also miss the full size of the cover screen. It severely displaced my home screen and spit the icons up weirdly over the other panels. Like the left over icons from panel 1, didn't simply get pushed to panel 2? I want to see if I can switch to the Fold 8 Ultra.

I've been wanting a foldable phone for a while, but did not want the candy bar format of the Fold ultra. When this passport style form factor each announced, I was skeptical. Once I saw it on person, and held it in my hands and I knew I had to have it. I chose the Z Fold 8 in lavender, which is a gorgeous color. I love this phone's versatility. Streaming, scrolling, typing, multitasking. This phone does it all well. I love both displays, the colors are vibrant without feeling oversaturated. The battery life so far is very impressive. I'm looking forward to enjoying this device on daily life as well as traveling.

After a year loving my Z Fold 7 I chose to upgrade to the Z Fold 8 thanks to its unique form factor, and I truly believe this was the right choice! It feels more compact and lighter while still having an upgraded battery life. The aspect ratios of both screens are also great. The outter screen is easy to type on and great for videos. The larger screen is great for movies and still big enough for some multitasking from time to time.

I have been using samsung phones since the S7 released and have always loved them. Up until this year I have always went with the S series phones and so far I am so glad I chose z fold! I am always using the inner display for multitasking and also for watching videos. I love the customizability of the z fold and the new features that came with the latest version of One UI! I would definitely buy a Z Fold again! The new passport style form factor is a real game changer, it makes videos so much better to watch on the bigger screen without needing another device!

I chose this z fold 8 because the form factor totally fit my use case. I am upgrading from a z fold 5 and living in a commuter city, the front screen is used very often. Woth the narrower fold5, I always made typos texting and typing. Additionally taking quick photos or watching videos on the fold5 front screen was terrible. But with the new fold 8, the wider screen fits my commuting needs with perfection. Giving a wider keyboard and wider screen. And once I settle into the office or at home, I can still unfold and enjoy a super wide 7.6 inch inner screen! I hope everyone took advantage of the pre-order special, as Samsung offered a whopping $900 for my old z fold 5!!

I chose the Galaxy Zfold 8 as my new device because of its new form factor that is smaller yet wider. I find that the new form factor fits great in my smaller hands in comparison to other devices. It is super responsive, fun to customize and fits in your pocket.. yes even womens pockets! I love the multi use of this phone. Using dual screens for everday use, whether its to budget while checking my banking app, or scrolling tiktok while shopping on Amazon makes life easier. This is a great device and I can't wait to see what Samsung brings us next. The options are truly unlimited in this galaxy.

I chose the new phone because of the interesting new form factor. When typing it really reminds me of the good ole blackberry phone days. It's wider then most phones but it feels just right for my hands. I would highly recommend. Opening up to the bigger screen is perfect with the gear snapping it into place and it's just like having a mini tablet all in one system.

I chose this Samsung Foldable phone as a gift for my mom because I wanted her to have a larger screen without carrying a bulky device. She loves being able to unfold the phone to comfortably read, watch videos, and browse the web, then fold it back into compact size that fits easily in her bag or pocket. The display is bright and beautiful, the performance is smooth, and the battery lasts all day. The foldable design is both practical and impressive, making everyday use much more enjoyable. Seeing how much she enjoys using it makes me feel like I made the right choice. I highly recommend this phone to anyone looking for an innovative and premium foldable devices. I upgraded to the Z fokd 8 from a Z fold 5. I chose the 8 over the 8 ultra because I walked something a bit smaller than the form factor that I was used to coming from the 5 and it honestly feels like using a device from the future. This phone is much lighter and wider than the fold 5 and I find myself 'flicking' or open to use the inner display much more often than i did on the old phone. Multitasking is simple, for example stock trading with news or search side by side, language learning and taking notes, prompting codex while reviewing docs. I end up using the inner screen now often than my MacBook. Scrolling social media, mobile gaming, and everything is is just a little more fun on this phone. Going back to a tradition phone after this would feel like going back to the stone age.

I have had a Z fold in my hands for the last 6 years or so. I chose the Z Fold 8 because of the updated aspect ratio. The previous folds have been great for the multitasking aspect, however the new media focused format is up my alley. My favorite thing to do is head to lunch and prop up my z fold on the carbon standing case and catch up on my shows. This fold feels a lot more functional for my media consumption with both the inside and outside screen. The outside screen is just large enough to maximize screen real estate but also be one hand type-able. Fold 8 beats my previous Folds in my opinion.

Gaming on this screen is super immersive as well! Meanwhile, the Watch 9 seamlessly tracks my daily activities, sports, and health stats while keeping me connected without having to pull out my phone every time. Switching between work, study, and fitness with these two devices has made my entire routine so much more efficient and fun. Highly recommended!

Samsung never lets me down so I was confident when I chose the new Galaxy Z Fold 8. First, the Fold 8 is the perfect size whether you are browsing the Internet on the outer front screen or watching a movie on the wide inner screen. Secondly, I was amazed by the thinness and how lightweight the Fold 8 is. Finally, the Fold 8 comes packed with all the bells and whistles you need to multitask for work or home, take amazing photos, play games and everything else I have come to expect from Samsung. I'm still exploring the exciting new features and I am so happy I chose the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8!

I chose a Galaxy fold 8 because the form factor is a breath of fresh air. I love the fact that the shorter slightly wider aspect ratio fits videos nearly perfectly even when folded. As an engineer myself I appreciate efficiency and the ergonomics combined with the aspect ratio is the best of all worlds. Whether it's scrolling on social media or watching a video it feels right. I've been switching back and forth between my old s24 ultra and this phone and the s24 ultra now feels too long. Definitely not for everyone but the fact that Samsung gives you the option is greatly appreciated. I do not see myself going back to a long slab phone.

I traded in a Galaxy S24 Ultra for the Z Fold 8. It was a great decision. I chose the fold 8 over the Ultra because of the smaller form factor. I did a lot of research before I bought because I was concerned about the cameras. There are some tweaks using Camera Assistant that help a lot. Unless you do a lot of extreme zoom shots, you will be happy with these cameras for everyday use. I tried using the AI features on a couple of shots so far and it works great(I added the lightning to the attached pic). The phone is comfortable in the hand using either open or closed. Very frequent use throughout the day leaves me 60% battery at bedtime. I don't play games or watch movies on my phone. I had the Z flip 4 and 5 in the past, but this is my best foldable so far.

I’ve been using the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 for the past couple of days, and honestly, it’s the first book-style foldable that hasn't made me feel like I was carrying around a small brick. "I chose" the Z Fold 8 over standard slab phones because Samsung finally fixed my biggest pet peeve with older foldables: the awkward, narrow cover screen. Switching to a wider, passport-style footprint completely changes how the phone feels in everyday use.

I'm loving the new form factor. I'm no newcomer to foldables I've had the full six and that one always left me wanting something a little wider on me cover screen. The fold eight nailed it perfectly. I no longer feel like I have to open up to the tablet to the inner screen in order to have a good viewing experience. A lot of times I find myself just using the cover screen feeling satisfied. As for with the fold 6 I was constantly opening the device feeling like I was being deprived of good viewing experience.

As a Samsung loyalist for over 15 years, I’ve used every generation of foldables from the original Z Flip to the 7th gen. I chose the Z Flip line in the first place because a small, compact size is a must for fitting into my small purses. This year, I chose to switch to the Z Fold 8, and it’s the best of both worlds! I absolutely love this new design! The new, lighter design still fits comfortably in my small bags, while the larger outer screen gives me significantly more productivity on the go. Combined with top-tier performance and a gorgeous inner display, Samsung has finally perfected the foldable form factor! I recommended to all my friends.

"I chose" "love" the Samsung Fold 8. I have the Fold 7, and I upgraded to this phone because of its new design, which is wider and shorter. It's very convenient for carrying in my pocket. The outer screen is a good size with great resolution and good connection. I love the body of the phone. I went with the pistachio and love it. I would love it more if they had offered the Fold 8 in violet shadow. Unfolded, it's perfect for social media and video streaming—no more huge black bars when watching a movie, very thin when unfolded and not heavy. Love the super-fast charge. Overall, loving the phone. Definitely recommended.

I chose to upgrade my flip 6 to the new Fold 8 because I find myself using my mobile for more than content creation. A big part is office work on the go including Teams, Outlook and CRM activities. With its new form factor it's easy to run a meeting and then do my email follow ups. Using social media apps are a breeze and the expanded display is vivid and smooth visually. The camera works great and the pictures are are crisp looking even in lower light. After watching the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event and seeing the new Z Fold 8, it was a no-brainer. I chose to upgrade from my Z Fold 5, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I thought that the Fold 5 was the best phone I had ever owned, but the Fold 8 quickly surpassed it. So easy to set up and transfer from my old phone. The folded size is brilliant, providing a smaller (but still spacious) area, but I still have the option to unfold the phone and utilize the HUGE landscape display. So much easier to use apps side-by-side. This phone really has it all. Absolutely thrilled with my purchase.

I chose the zfold8 as my first foldable style phone. The new form factor looked cool and wanted to try something new. To my surprise I got used to the new "short" form factor very quick, the front screen is very usable and the device is very easy to hold and use. Another part of my motivation to try a foldable is for work usage. I often have to review code on the go and the large inner screen has made it much nicer to read and review GitHub. One UI 9 has been fun as well. Also tried out the Samsung carbon magnetic case and I love the look and feel of it.

I chose this upgrade to the Fold 8 because I was interested in the new form factor due to how cramped the cover screen of the Fold 6 felt for daily usage. I will say this was an immediate and very noticeable improvement and I actually prefer the wider format for my use case as a fun portable phone with a big screen experience, the lack of telephoto camera doesn't bother me too much since I prefer to carry my actual camera if I plan to get true higher end quality that only a true camera like a mirrorless could provide anyway. Time will tell so far if battery has made a noticeable improvement.

I was originally going to get the Fold Ultra 8, but I chose the Fold 8 because I really wanted to try out the form factor, and I am 100% happy with my choice. The form factor is just perfect and has me using the phone open way more than I ever did with the Fold 7. The anti-glare inner display with the new form factor makes consuming content so much better, especially with how light the phone is. The battery is also great; I got 8 hours of screen-on time, and that was during heavy use. I do wish the outer display also had the anti-glare coating, but it's still great to use, and I can finally see my full wallpaper because of the form factor. I'm already recommending this phone to people.

For many years I purchased both a phone and tablet for use at home and while traveling. This was the perfect form factor that enabled me to streamline and minimize the amount of electronic devices while traveling. I chose the new galaxy Z Fold 8 because of its compact size, nice screens, and the usual samsung quality. Transitioning from the Samsung S25 Edge, this was a natural step for me to maintaining a lean and compact footprint while expanding the capabilities of one device. I purchased the cover with the kickstand but haven't experienced any problems using a wireless charger. So far I'm loving it and learning more and more about the capabilities of my new device. It fit right into my Internal samsung ecosystem.

I was fortunate enough to be able to see and handle both the Galaxy Fold 8 and Fold 8 Ultra in person. This was a huge factor in my decision on which one to choose. I chose the Fold 8 due to its size in my hand and what I felt was a better ergonomic both in the open and closed positions. Although I was still skeptical as this was my first fold phone, I have enjoyed it very much and am excited to get to know what all it is capable of. I think Samsung did a great job with this design and I've been asked about this phone multiple times already simply based on it's unique shape.

The new Fold 8 (wide) is a great new phone in regards to the external screen and internal folding screen. My only negative thought is no 200 megapixel main sensor and no telephoto lens, very disappointing on such a high end phone with such a high cost. As you will learn due to the Fold 8's high volume of sales, many people like larger phones but not necessarily folding ones. I suggest Samsung consider making a larger nonfolding phone, similar to the width of the Fold 8's external screen but also taller. Bring back the old Samsung Mega branding or call it the Samsung Titan. Again, their is a large market for larger phones especially in this day and age.

I chose the Samsung z fold 8 to replace my z fold 7. People asked, why? Why would you do trade-in, for the shorty?! Because the shorty is KING. This form fixes all the horrible issues I experienced with multiple z Gold phones, the too tall, too thin phones. The width is perfect on the front screen and it’s not too heavy. The cameras are great, the z fold 7’s telephoto lens shot subpar shots so it’s not missed one bit. I love the AI features too, the 6 months of Gemini Pro is lovely to play around with ideas and fix cherished family photos. The crease doesn’t bother me, it’s nearly not there and you can’t feel it. Some light you mildly see it, but you gotta try. It’s so much more worth it that the prior ones.

I use my phone for basically everything. I read, surf the internet and play games. My last phone was the s23 ultra for the display size and the CPU was pretty alright. But now I game waaaaay more on my phone when I'm not home and I read a lot more Manga and comics so I felt like I had to chose the fold 8. The compact size of the front is perfect for tiktok and I perfer reading fanfics and books on the front display. Inside is THE PERFECT SIZE FOR MANGA AND COMICS! It is the same size as the paperwhite 12th gen. Only downside is no pen and the inner camera should be more to the corner cause it does mess the menu in a few gacha games like HSR.

The new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 brings a fresh new experience to the phone world. I chose this model over the Fold 8 Ultra because I wanted something NEW. The new shape feels so good in the hand. Apps look great in both folded and unfolded modes. I love the capacitive fingerprint sensor being placed back on the side button, I tend to like it more than under screen ultrasonic sensors. Some may not like the lack of the flex mode but I didn't use it when I last had a Galaxy Fold and I don't feel like I'd miss it now. Overall I am happy that I chose the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8!

I previously had the Z flip 5, which I have had now for three years. I loved having a smaller phone, but I also used it for it's bending capability. I planned on getting the new Z flip 8 but when I saw this model I knew it was for me. It's smaller than average phones, and of course it unfolds to a much larger screen. I've missed having a phone that I could use without opening it. Today was the first full day of using it and I used the front screen to watch some videos and slightly opened the phone so it stood on its own. Absolutely loved it. I will now watch movies on the inside screen and i can't wait. This is such a smart move for Samsung!!!!

This device is definitely my favorite smartphone that I've ever owned! I chose this one based on its overall form factor while still offering the inner screen, and it does not disappoint. I love the compact nature of the cover screen while still offering enough real estate to multitask on apps very easily in my real estate career. I would love to see future iterations include the Privacy display but it is not a deal breaker for me at all I'm absolutely in love with my fold8! If you're looking for a compact device with a long-lasting battery and Incredibly impressive performance look no further!

I chose to upgrade to the Z Fold 8 from my S25 Ultra, and the extra screen real estate has been a total game changer. As a college student studying Youth Development Programming and working as a Paraeducator, I am constantly juggling coursework, schedules, and daily tasks. Having that large main display lets me split-screen documents, keep track of plans, and manage my day effortlessly without feeling cramped. Outside of work and school, coaching basketball and staying active keeps me on the move, so having a device that transitions so easily from productivity to streaming and handheld gaming on the go is huge. The hardware quality is top tier, making it a complete upgrade for both my daily routines and my downtime.

I have been part of the Galaxy Z Fold family since the Fold 4. I have used the Fold 4, Fold 6, and now I’ve upgraded to the Z Fold 8 and I am genuinely amazed by the new form factor. The Z Fold 8 is incredibly slim and feels so much more comfortable to hold in the hand. The wider cover screen is also a major improvement, and it’s perfect for watching videos and everyday use without feeling cramped. I am really glad I chose the Z Fold 8. Samsung has once again impressed me with the Z Fold series. As always, the Z Fold never disappoints! I have been a foldable fan since the original flip was sold and I still love foldable phones. However, Samsung have hit a home run with the Fold 8. The phone just looks good without even exploring its capabilities. The front screen is the perfect and fo most things without unfolding. The phone is very light even with added cover. I normally use my fold for videos and reading while commuting to work. Opening the phone is a fantastic experience, but the best feature is watching videos. I am finding myself watching videos unfold. The phone uses every inch of real estate.

I chose the Galaxy Z Fold8 after using the Fold6, which I absolutely loved. I honestly wasn’t sure how much of an upgrade it would feel like because I was already really happy with the Fold6, but the Fold8 is even better. Everything just feels a little more refined. It’s fast, smooth, and the big inside screen is still my favorite part of owning a Fold. I use it constantly for emails, browsing, watching videos, reading, and having multiple apps open at the same time. Once you get used to having that much screen when you need it, it’s really hard to go back to a regular phone. The Fold8 feels like Samsung took everything I loved about the Fold6 and made it better. I’m extremely happy I chose to upgrade. If you’re already a Fold fan, you’ll appreciate the improvements, and if you’ve never owned one, this is a great one to start with.

I chose the new Galaxy Z Fold 8 primarily because I needed a smaller phone to fit in my uniform pocket but still had times I needed a larger screen. The Fold 8 does more than fit the bill. I have found that it responds to inputs and requests quickly and the volume is sufficiently loud. I no longer have to worry about the S Pen falling out as it frequently did on my 25 Ultra. I greatly enjoy the folding feature when I am ready either important emails or documents or relaxing with a book from apps. Once it's time to go to work the phone folds down to an easily manageable small size. Overall great job Samsung

I'm really enjoying the new Z Fold 8! The new shape brings comfortability and compact together into one device! I'm happy I chose to wait on upgrading until this device came out! The experience I've had consuming media on this has been great, where short form videos are the focus on the main screen, and whole TV shows or movies are enjoyable on the large inner screen. One thing I miss between the Z Fold 8 and my old Z Flip 7... flex mode! It was so convenient to prop my phone open to watch something, read a recipe while cooking, etc. I didn't want a big phone like the Z Fold 8 Ultra, so I'm missing out on that key feature.

This phone is incredible. I have had a phablet for several years (I made the switch with the Z Fold4, then stayed with the Z Fold6), but this is what I have always envisioned when having a phablet. I love the wider front screen and being able to open it up to the main screen and use it in portrait or landscape mode feels like a treat. Having the Z Fold8 is everything I have ever wanted in a phablet. I am so glad I chose to upgrade my phone, and so glad I went with the Z Fold8. To me, this phone is a revolutionary step forward for foldables.

I chose the Galaxy Z Fold8 because I wanted a phone that could handle everyday tasks while also giving me more screen space when I need it. I use it throughout the day for messaging, browsing, watching videos, managing emails, and staying organized. The larger unfolded display makes multitasking much more comfortable, especially when I want to use two apps without constantly switching between them. When folded, it still works well for quickly checking notifications and handling regular phone tasks. I have a Z fold 6 for 2 years and very happy with the durability however the weight of 239 grams is still on the heavy side and the almost square aspect ratio of the inner screen is not made for media consumption. The best feature is the under camera display which give the z fold 6 an immersion experience. I chose to upgrade to Z fold 8 due to its new aspect ratio format bothe the outer and inner display. It does not have the udc inside camera but I am willing to trade the feature for a more thinner and a lot lighter z fold 8. Also the almost invisible inner screen crease have me sold. Thank you Samsung for making such a fine polished product. Happy to recommend.

I was a huge fan of PDAs (personal digital assistants) in the early 2000s. I loved the function and the form factor. As time marched on and phones got taller, I didn't realize how much I missed it. As a proud former owner of the Z Fold 3 and the Z Fold 5, I was immediately attracted to the new Fold 8. I chose it because I wanted to have a fuller front screen and to be able to make better use of the phone when it was closed. I love how light it is, I love the exclusive pistachio color, and I love how darn cute it is. There are some minor trade offs. I wish the speakers were placed differently and the table wobble is off the charts. I also miss flex mode and I'm not sure why it was necessary to remove it, but I don't seem to miss the telephoto lens the way so many others have mentioned (I guess I don't use it much). The longer I use it the more I like it. Its fits in my pocket so nicely and I love to show it off. The phone is snappy and responsive and I'm impressed by how well the outer screen works with video content. As counter-intuitive as this sounds, I also like that I am opening the Fold 8 LESS than I did with my Fold 5, specifically because of the wider screen. I'm very happy with my purchase and I'm looking forward to many happy years with my new Fold 8.

Finally charged I started my setup which was easy since I had my s26 ultra everything has copied over flawlessly, I just had to sign back into most apps but with Samsung pass that was easy too. I haven't put the fold 8 down sorry s26 ultra but the size is amazing the screen is perfect I actually keep the device on the bed so I can pick it up whenever I wake up only thing I'm waiting on is the Samsung branded case which should be here today I think I still have my watch 8 it paired with the fold but I'll probably get the watch ultra 2 thanks Samsung for making such a great device.

The Z fold 8 has been an amazing product so far. I'm glad I chose this phone because it makes reading articles or recipes and streaming TV or videos so much more convenient. It's almost been a week that I've had the device and I'm still learning about cool new features. I previously had a Z flip 7 and I am so happy with the dimensions of the fold 8. I wish they made an "ultra" version in this size. The only reason I didn't get the fold 8 ultra is because of the size and a pretty big downfall of the fold 8 is that there is no flex mode. I'm adjusting to not having that and I'm still loving my new phone.

I'm a Z fold 7 owner and I've decided to try out this new screen ratio. I chose Z fold 8 because I want wider front screen when folded and a bigger screen when unfolded for watching Youtube. It just fits my needs perfectly. I like surfing the web while watching a Youtube video but if I split my screen with z fold 7, both windows would be too narrow. With z fold 8, it is PERFECT for using 2 windows side by side. Only one caveat is that there is no credit card wallet that would fit the phone and this is why I'm giving it a 4 star instead of 5 stars

I chose the new Samsung Z Fold 8 for one reason and that is I needed as I get older and my sight gets older I needed something bigger but still pocket size and do a lot of things without opening my phone and this phone has it, it meets all the requirements I need. And as a 25+ years Samsung product owner I love their phones. My previous phones were the Flips and they were perfect I would've went with the Flip 8 but again my eyesight well let's just say I needed a little bigger screen but not too big, and it's still comfortable for 1 hand use.

I chose the new Galaxy Fold 8 because of the new form factor. It fits in my pocket fully now without sticking out. Using wider screen is absolutely enlightening! Wider screens allows my fat fingers to type better reducing typos. Also, new screen ratio makes viewing YouTube videos more immersive. Longer battery life definitely shows in real life usage. The phone now lasts without charging for a full day in confidence. This new form factor Fold 8 is a breakthrough product! I highly recommend it.

First off I chose this phone to replace a Fold 5. I do like this form factor. I mainly use this for day to day browsing, media, and light gaming. For me it was a good upgrade from the 5. But there are some deficiencies. The speakers are a glaring issue for me, they sound significantly worse than the 5. It is really thin and too lightweight. Without a good case that adds weight and grip it is difficult to hold on to. It does have a very snappy processor and apps respond well. Video on the inner display is were this phone shines. Crease is barely noticeable. I would recommend this phone for both new to foldables and returning users.

I chose this phone for the new design alone. After having the z fold 6 for 2 years I was itching to try this new design out! Watching movies and sports has been amazing on the new aspect on the inside screen. The cover screen also is a lot more enjoyable for watching my favorite shows or my team play. I also find myself gaming a lot more on the new size for the fold series. Even while closed it is easy to grip and play my favorite games. Multitasking on the inside screen is a huge plus for everyday task and also work. Huge upgrade whatever phone you have currently.

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 is a great phone overall. The design feels premium, the displays are excellent, and I really enjoy having the larger inner screen for multitasking, browsing, watching videos, and getting work done. Performance has been excellent so far, and the Fold form factor makes it much more useful than a traditional phone in many situations. My biggest complaints are the lack of S Pen support and the camera system. For a flagship phone at this price, I would really like to see a better telephoto camera with stronger optical zoom. Samsung has plenty of experience with great zoom cameras on the Ultra series, and I think the Fold deserves similar camera hardware. Besides those two things, I’m very happy with the Z Fold 8. It’s a great device and one of the most versatile phones I’ve used.
