Galaxy Z Fold8

I have been using the Z Fold 8 for a week, I have come from having the Z Foldv7 and I absolutely love the form factor, hands more manageable than the Z Fold 7. Look the cameras could be better, but it's not like I'm a professional photographer either! IP rating could be better but again I've never really exposed any of my previous founds to the elements, like sand for example. I don't think I'd ever go back to slab style phone ever again, or in particular a Z Fold 7/8 Ultra form factor!! Z Fold just fits, it's perfect!! Well done Samsung i think you finally got it right!!

The Z Fold 8’s new passport shape is fantastic. The wider cover screen eliminates typos, and the 4:3 inner screen feels like a mini tablet. At ~200g, it’s remarkably light. I’m giving it 4/5 only because the keyboard covers half the short outer display and battery life remains just average.

Far more durable than originally believed. Perfect design. Ultimate work horse.

Both the cover screen and inner display feel extremely smooth and instant—scrolling, app switching, and typing have zero lag. Multitasking on the large inner screen is fast and fluid, with no stutter even with several apps open. The 120Hz display and touch response make everyday use feel very premium. Great job on the performance and smoothness.

I have been a Samsung loyalist for over 15 years, and every year I have upgraded my phone. My favourite Samsung phone was the last Note (still have it, its iconic) but I have loved the folds since they starting coming out. Since I saw this one, I knew I had to have it. Its notsaglic in a way cos its like passport size (back to when phones fitted within the palm of your hand) but yet when you open it up takes everything to another level. The look, the design , the features and performance is all A+++++++. I do wish they would bring back the micro SD card

I’ve been using the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 for a while now, and overall I’m really impressed. The bigger inner screen is great for multitasking, reading and watching videos, while the phone still feels surprisingly comfortable to use when folded. Performance is smooth, the cameras are solid, and the battery easily gets me through a normal day. It’s definitely expensive, but if you want a phone that can replace a phone and small tablet, the Fold 8 is one of the best options out there. The main downside is that it’s still a little bulky when folded.

Stylish and trendy, something new with technological marvel

The size format is perfect, i feel i only need to open when actually needed. With the ultra the screen is too narrow and i feel i need to open it more than i should. The crease is barely visible at the moment which is great. Not sure how this will be over time. Battery life is good last me the day. The hinge is very keen not sure im confortable with the forceful opening. Its alot lighter than my previous phone so durability is yet to be determined. But with this being so light im worried for how it would stand up to being dropped. With the 1tb 16gb it feel rapid when it comes to responsiveness.

I use to own a flip and loved the form, but in reality it was not usable with how skinny it was. Jump a few years later i saw that samsung was releasing a fold WIDE and wanted to try it out. I'm very impressed at how light and compact it is, without having to sacrifice any screen size. When i need to do a quick check on something i'd use the front but when i'm browsing i've got it folded out. I use the inside screen probably 80% and the front 20% - i also recall my old flip had such a visible crease but the fold 8 is not noticeable at all.

I've had my Samsung fold 8 for just over a week now, and so far, so good. I find it fits more comfortably in my hands than my previous phone ( Samsung fold 6). The front screen is so good in size that the inner screen is a luxury in comparison. The features are good and very easy to use, and it was simple to switch from the old phone to the new phone. I'm hoping the hinge and screen is more robust than the fold six, but so far, so great.

I was worried to buy fold type phone because I heared its weak durability from my friends. But Samsung has developed its durability with strong hinge. Battery is similar to my s24 ultra with higher brightness screen. Touch screen responsiveness is also.good. Im satisfied to its mertitasking performance. Overall, it is recommendable.

Got the 8 Ultra. Phone are brighter then last year. Just as thin as last year and the camera work just as well. This year they are not as great with the color choice. Didn't seem to see much other upgrades.

I absolutely love the new form factor! I thought it may be too wide for my hands but pleasantly surprised - it isn'! Honestly looking at it just makes me happy. I was prepared for apps to not be optimised for its form factor but I haven't had any major issues where it rendered the application useless. I'm hoping this form factor is embraced more widely and will be catered for in terms of app performance. Fingers crossed that future models get the 200mp zoom camera. I am willing to sacrifice a little weight for the camera.

I'm extremely satisfied with my new Galaxy Z Fold8! The fold area where the screen bends has been noticeably improved—the crease is so much less visible now. When folded, it's remarkably compact and easy to carry, and I personally love the overall sleek design. As you can see in the photo, it looks even better paired with the official Samsung case. I'm always cheering for Samsung!

Pre ordered the Galaxy Fold 8 and got it a few days ago and I’m really liking it so far. The hinge feels solid, the foldable screen looks great, and it’s awesome being able to jump from “normal phone” to “mini tablet” whenever I need more space. Day‑to‑day performance has been smooth, no lag, and multitasking on the big screen is handy for editing images and spreadsheets. Cameras are good enough for everyday photos and socials, even if they’re not the absolute best out there. Overall I’ve been happy with it. ✨

Have had the device for a week now and I am blown away. For my personal needs and ageing eyes it ticks all boxes. All my apps from my S25 work flawlessly. as a Golfer being so pocket friendly and being able to watch and share my screen at the 19th hole watching football on the large inner scraeen is awesome. Being 54yo and working in the telecommunications industry for so long the Z Fold 8 is by far the most innovative of smart phones ever.

Over the years i have used different phones. From iphones to samsung notes to flip phones but this fold is the best for me. I have been following the news of this fold since beginning of the year and it did not disappoint. I love it, i love and i love it. The size is just perfect. The thinness of it and the battery is awesome. I got the pistachio and the color is beautiful. The only thing i miss is the option of privacy screen like the s26 and the s pen. But overall this is the best phone size ever.

The Galaxy Z Fold8 is hands down the best foldable I’ve ever owned. The performance improvements are noticeable from day one and the new form factor is a total winner. Whether I'm catching up on my favorite ASMR content at a cafe or using the tablet layout for finer details, the Galaxy Z Fold8 feels like a natural extension of my focus rather than just another phone.

This is the Samsung foldable I have been waiting for! I found the Z fold series phones to big and I did not like the aspect ratio (I owned the Z Fold 5) and I bought mostly the Z Flip phones (3 and 5), which lacked functionality on the outer screen. The Z Fold 8 is a perfect compromise of the former Fold and Flip phones, and once more apps are optimized for the new aspect ratio it will be perfect. And what crease - It is gone!

Overall device is great, crease almost feels nothing. No matter opening or closing the main screen, it feels smooth and solid. Use device 3 days, open more than hundred times of main screen, it feels no change for the operation. I am pretty sure I can use this phone for few years no problems. Main screen brightness 🔆 is great even under direct sunshine. I used device for 3 days, only charge one time i am so confident that I can use the phone full day with high usage.

I had the fold7 and adored it. I've traded up to the fold8 and I was concerned about the form factor change as well as the cbattery life and camera. That being said I think the 8s form factor is really aesthetic, it feels mid 2000s with modern gloss. The square-er shape works better for things like YouTube and texting but does break some websites that scale to a landscape view. When folded out the shape becomes landscape and is excellent for games and scales better for websites. The 50mp default camera is better than the fold7 but also cannot reach 200mp, that being said I would rarely use 200 and it would take up a lot of space. So all in all I don't begrudge the shift. The battery lasts longer unfolded and about the same folded so that was nice! Also the displays are brighter and with a sharp contrast. I've already recommended this to a friend and they are already going to make the change 😅

Updated from S24 Ultra and there hasn't been any compromise on battery, charging speed and performance. I love the smaller cover screen (fits well in the hand, great for 80% of the things I do) and the ability to switch to "tablet mode" for the other times. Videos are almost the same size vs. my S24 Ultra, so I find I open the Fold less than I thought I would and I don't really miss the taller form factor of a slab phone. When I do need the extra height, I switch to tablet mode - generally for using apps like Onenote side by side with another app, or being able to use the same features I would on a tablet in those apps. The cameras are on par with the photos from my S24U based on my usage and I don't really miss the ultra zoom or the extra lenses. With the Good Lock app and the stock Samsung software I was able to customise everything I really wanted to get the phone working well for my use cases.

I received my new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 last Tuesday, and I honestly love it. I was previously part of the Fold family with the Galaxy Z Fold 4, which I used for a couple of years. While I loved the foldable experience, I eventually found myself mainly using the front screen because of the size and thickness. I ended up leaving the Fold family and moved to the Samsung Galaxy S25+. After receiving the Galaxy Z Fold 8, I can honestly say Samsung has brought me back to foldables. It feels light, compact and beautifully refined, while still giving me the larger screen experience that makes the Fold so special. The size feels perfect, the design feels premium, and every time I unfold it, it still feels a little bit futuristic. For me, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 feels like the foldable I always wanted.

I love this phone, it feels so great in the hand. As my first fold phone I'm so glad I went with this one. The aspect ratio is comfortable. I have small hands so I use with 2 hands anyway and it feels good. Its different enough that I actually felt excited to try this new phone. The multi tasking and versatility is awesome. And the widgets! You can fit so many widgets. Just one star off for the camera, it takes decent photos but as someone who had an S26 Ultra I'm a bit disappointed.

My biggest complaint with the phone currently is when I have an app on my screen and I turn it vertically many times while the app changes vertically it does not cover the whole screen. The other issue I have is when it becomes vertical the power button volume button and fingerprint sensor is either on the top or the bottom of the screen which is not conducive for ease of use

This model is good for the video watching and the size change it's a little bit different between the the previous model so I need some time to to fit it is a good product amazing but just hope Samsung next time will be have the at the full full size cameras because this time for only have two cameras then wide one and and the regular one, don't have the zoom lenses

I moved from Flip 3, so the quality, speed, experience is wonderful. The fold is getting some time to accustom myself... as shape is shorter, wider, and I find I'm upside down, covering lens, fumbling to get it positioned right. The full fold experience is different and I'm fumbling around here as well. I'll get used to it soon, Beyond that, love the phone.

Bought a few days ago, nice to see a phone with good battery life, fun to use and great to see they improved on the hinge.

Having been a Full size fold owner for numerous generations this Fold 8 addresses the front screen width issue, finally making the device useful without having to open it all of the time. The form factor is also great as it's small enough to fit into pretty much any pocket and it doesn't feel unwieldy in one handed operation. The price is steep considering still a low capacity battery compared to the competition and the lack of s-pen. Overall I love this device.

I received this on Aug 3 from the store. I am amazed at what this device can do. Multi tasking and social media on this device is amazing and feels butter smooth. The new silicon battery lasts much longer than previous generations and easily lasts a day for even a heavy user. Charging th3 device is also much quicker now and given the reliability of the fold 7, this new hinge mechanism is only gonna last longer. This is the best of both worlds for someone confused between the flip or the ultra.

Ive been using different android and iphones throughout my life ( I have 4 phones im switching sims between now) , in my opinion this is the peak foldable form factor and will cater for many different use cases. Needs to have better software optimisation , and 200mp main camera . Zoom camera is not too important

I have always been a fan of Samsjng products and currently own a Samsung TV, Tab S10 Ultra (my 'daily workhorse), Galaxy Book5 Pro 360 (lovely bit of kit this!) and have just recently bought the Z Fold 8 (I was considering getting the ZFold 8 Ultra instead 9fantastic specs especially camera wise) but wanted something a little more portable/pocketable and loved the unique form factor of the Z Fold 8). The battery and screen on the ZFpld 8 are very good and the powerful processor and generous memory specs mean that it's super responsive no matter what tasks I throw at it. I particularly like the fact that everything works in unison with each other two enabling me to hop from one device to another with ease, hook the Tableg or TV up as a second screen and even use the Z Fold 8 to 'control other devices' using the Samsung 'infrastructure'.

I have my new Fold 8 (passport/wide size) and I love it except I can't get the screen icon sizes to go bigger. I have a vision disability and although I have enlarged the icons, the size only increases a little and it still hard to see them in the full open view. Other than this, I really really love my new device

The new fold is here to change the world! It is beautiful and everyone that sees it is immediately amazed by its thin size, light weight, passport size but that opens into a beautiful tablet. The fold crease is seamless and is a very elegant phone. The battery seems to last forever, and the new ai and smart features are the cherry on top of the cake. I did not have a fold before as I thought they were too bulky but this one is smaller than my previous galaxy24+. I'm really happy with it and would recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their phone.

Been using the Fold 8 for a few days now and I cannot fault it. I was worried about a folding phone, and didn't think I was ready for one this time around, however the form factor of this model sold me and I convinced myself it was time. Best decision I made, everything about the phone is perfect. Fantastic front screen for casual browsing and messaging, inner screen is where YouTube and reading comes alive. Suits both work and play 100%.

I am an older person, always very reluctant to upgrade a phone until absolutely have to. Just upgraded my old Galaxy 9. Absolutely love it. Easy to use and perfect size to fit in bag when closed but easy to read when opened out.

Love the form factor, love the display, love the wide format. When folded, thickness is just about right, another couple of mm for next version pls :-) The only thing I'll pick holes in, is to ask why camera are always put at the side of the device? It means that you cannot place the phone on a table and use it, as rocks back and forth in an extremely annoying manor. Battery, we'll see. Looks to be just enough to last the day, time will tell, especially if I use it more due to increased functionality.

I've had the Fold 8 now for one week and I'm so happy I took the leap to buy it. While technically there are two screens on this phone, you really have three: Outer Screen, Inner Screen in landscape, and Inner Screen in portrait. There are so many ways to use this phone in every aspect ratio. I love the portability while having a mini tablet in my pocket every where I go. I haven't been this obsessed with a phone in years! Highly recommend.

Absolutely love the new Fold 8!! Upgraded from a Fold 5 and wasn't sure if the new size would be as good but I'm such a fan. I love how the front screen is big enough for me to use for most of the time and then for larger screen access for games etc. The phone sits nicely in my hands and is super easy to use. Have been really happy with past samsung galaxy folds but am loving this new shape in particular. Very happy to recommend.

I bought Fold 8 for my wife upgrading from Flip 7 to Fold 8. worse decision ever. Much more slower than ever, battery isn't that good as well as advertised. more frustrations on the fold 8. the only thing i love about this device is the size. the rest are worse then previous version.

I love the new form factor. Samsung should take this and further improve upon upcoming interations.

Absolutely loved this phone. I use my phone alot for work (dsw) and to be able to work with a bigger screen when needed is a bonus and it all be in such a compact size. Feels great and looks amazing. Lots of compliments on this phone from friends. Absolutely recommend setting this.

I received my phone 1 day before I leave to Bali and I have been enjoying every second of it !!! I have had the fold since the 1st series ! To se the evolution and experience the new innovation in all aspects is simply comforting and exciting ! For a 40 year old to be excited about a phone is rare but I must say I'm honoured to say I am ! Hats down to one of the best phones I've used yet !

I got fold 8, by far its the best phone ever. Way more practical then my previous flip3/4/5/6/7. The bigger screen in fold 8 I barely need to unfold. Big screen is perfect for watching videos and multi tasking purposes
