                  [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Okay so I need to talk about my Galaxy Z Fold 8, because switching over from my Pixel 7 Pro has genuinely been a lightbulb moments. I loved my Pixel 7 Pro, don't get me wrong. It took gorgeous photos with zero effort and the software just worked. But after a few years with it, everything started to feel... small. Reading client emails, editing gallery proofs on the go, even just scrolling through Instagram to check my Off Script posts, I kept wishing the screen was bigger. Turns out I just needed it to actually get bigger. The fold is the whole thing Opening this phone up into a mini tablet has completely changed how I work between shoots. I can pull up a client's proof gallery, look at two images side by side, and actually see the details instead of squinting and pinching to zoom like I did on the Pixel. Editing on the go, replying to booking enquiries with the keyboard split across both sides, it just feels like a proper little workstation in my bag. Camera I was worried I'd miss the Pixel's camera, because honestly it set a high bar for me as a photographer. But the Z Fold 8 has held its own: colours are rich, low light is solid, and being able to use the cover screen as a viewfinder for selfies with the main cameras is such a nice touch I didn't know I needed. One UI vs stock Android This was the biggest adjustment. Stock Android on the Pixel was clean and simple, no arguments there. One UI took me a minute to get used to, but now that I've got it set up the way I like, I actually prefer it. Multitasking two apps side by side, dragging a photo straight from my gallery into an email, dragging and dropping between split screens, it makes the Pixel feel a bit one-note in hindsight. Everyday stuff Battery life has genuinely surprised me, easily getting me through a full shoot day. The hinge feels solid, not flimsy like I half expected going in. And there's something satisfying about closing it shut like a little book when I'm done for the day. Durability and speed I'll admit the hinge worried me more than anything before I bought it, visions of dust getting in or it feeling wobbly after a few months. But, it snaps open and shut with confidence, the screen doesn't show any creasing that bothers me when I'm actually using it and just feels tougher in the hand than I expected from something that folds in half. Speed-wise it's noticeably snappier than the Pixel ever was, even towards the end when the Pixel started lagging on me during multitasking. Switching between apps, flicking through big photo files, having three things open at once, none of it makes the Fold break a sweat. It just keeps up. Would I go back? Honestly, no. The Pixel 7 Pro was a brilliant phone and I have zero regrets about the years I spent with it. But the Z Fold 8 feels like it was actually built for how I work: client galleries, editing, juggling ten conversations at once, not just for taking a nice photo and scrolling. It's the first phone in a long time that's changed how I actually use it, not just what it looks like doing it.

Upon opening, the hinge feels like its durability will last the distance. Once set up, which is a breeze, both screens are extremely responsive. The longevity of the battery is looking excellent. I am not tech savvy but always wanted a better phone and from Samsung A12 to Fold 8 is a huge improvement finally.                   [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always been a fan of Samsjng products and currently own a Samsung TV, Tab S10 Ultra (my 'daily workhorse), Galaxy Book5 Pro 360 (lovely bit of kit this!) and have just recently bought the Z Fold 8 (I was considering getting the ZFold 8 Ultra instead 9fantastic specs especially camera wise) but wanted something a little more portable/pocketable and loved the unique form factor of the Z Fold 8). The battery and screen on the ZFpld 8 are very good and the powerful processor and generous memory specs mean that it's super responsive no matter what tasks I throw at it. I particularly like the fact that everything works in unison with each other two enabling me to hop from one device to another with ease, hook the Tableg or TV up as a second screen and even use the Z Fold 8 to 'control other devices' using the Samsung 'infrastructure'.

                  [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Introduction: I have been using the Samsung Galaxy Fold 8 for 2 weeks now and I have enjoyed every day of using it. Here are my thoughts on the phone. Positives: The short wide form factor display is compact, durable protected against dirt and debris and well built quality with a responsive screen for viewing more content and multitask with a nice 50/50 split with 3 applications. The applications open quickly with no lagging and watching videos on the 7.6 inch screen is fantastic. I found that the battery lasted typically a day and half with maximum protection enabled. Using it for productivity was great with the built-in scanner and AI tools. In particular, the Good luck application offered plugins to customize the fold 8 to for optimum performance and productivity. Negatives: I noticed that the phone snaps fully open or shuts instead of holding at around 50% angles because the hinge lacks the resistance needed to prop the phone open like a mini-laptop. In addition, flex mode panel settings are missing. The phone is slightly too wide for my small hands however I was able to use the Good luck application and the gestures to enable easy reachability on the front screen. In the next update of the phone I suggest that Samsung reduces the bezels and thickness of the phone. Conclusions: The Galaxy fold 8 new form factor is a well built phone with a video-friendly display with excellent battery life, quick performance, and helpful AI features. This is now my main and only phone at least until the next upgrade in 2027.

I love to watch videos and this phone seems built for exactly that. Whether I'm watching the outer screen turned to the side for a quick short video, or need the cinematic experience of the larger inner screen, this device has me covered. When opened and held horizontal for apps like YouTube or vertical for apps like Facebook, the inner surface advantage comes alive. Oh, and I can reach everything with one hand now when it's closed! Can't say enough about the form factor. Great purchase 10 out of 5 stars, I love it.

                  [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What an amazing phone! The form factor has reshaped my whole outlook on what a mobile phone can do. This is my first foldable device and to be honest, I've been reluctant to make the switch but boy am I glad I did. The cover display on its own is so useful, I find I use it for every day stuff like emails and answering messages. But when I want to do a bit more, I open the phone and use that amazing large screen. That hinge mechanism is a thing of beauty! Battery life has been solid and is getting better each day as the phone optimises things. On my third charge I had about 35% left at the end of the day. Performance wise, the responsiveness of the display and OneUI is so slick and speedy. Awesome. My one remaining question mark is over durability but that will be answered in the time to come. The device certainly feels solid so I am expecting good things.

                  [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely loved my Fold 7 and was debating if I should go with Fold 8 Ultra or Fold 8 (wide). After much debate, I decided to try to new passport style form factor and after a week I can say I love it! My big positives: 1. Passport size fits better in pockets and small bags. Front screen keyboard is better for typing and you lose a bit of scrolling but not too bad. 2. When opened, the wide screen is great for videos but not for scrolling sites/social. When turned 90 degrees, it is perfect for scrolling! I have gotten used to picking up my phone vertically now. 3. It is about 10% lighter. Not too noticeable, but over time you can kind of tell you are holding a lighter phone. Highly recommend it!

                  [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After upgrading from a Flip to a Fold to last year the Samsung Galaxy Z flip8 is a much welcomed return to functional flip phones - no gimmicks. The full back display and cameras being on the same surface allows for photography moments that no other smartphone series does. The Z Flip8 feels lighter and yet more durable than it's predecessors and after double checking right now... The main screen 'crease' is nowhere to be seen. The only place where the phone feels lacking is it's battery performance. It's not bad by any means but is also nothing to write home about and will need a charge before the day is up as well as overnight. Genuinely a fun and functional flip phone - would recommend!

                  [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the white Galaxy Z Fold 8, and I’m genuinely very impressed with it. The biggest improvement for me is the battery life. It lasts noticeably longer than my previous Z Fold 7, and I rarely have to worry about running out of battery during the day. I also really like the new anti-reflective coating on the display. It makes a noticeable difference, especially when using the phone outdoors or under bright lighting, and the screen looks fantastic. But probably my favourite thing about the Z Fold 8 is simply taking it out with me. The white version looks incredibly clean and premium, and I’m honestly surprised by how often people ask me what phone I’m using. Almost every time I go out, someone notices it or asks about it because they think it looks beautiful and unique. It might sound like a small thing, but I genuinely enjoy that feeling. It makes the phone feel special, and I’m quite proud to carry it around. Overall, this is easily my favourite Fold so far — excellent battery life, a beautiful display, and a design that really stands out.

                  [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Coming from the Pixel foldables, I'm enjoying the light weight, thinness and compactness of the Z Fold8. Unfortunately you do have to deal with the multiple versions of the same apps and Samsung's take on them. For example you need to use the Samsung clock app to use the sleep schedule as a condition for Routines, even if the Google clock app has the same sleep schedule. The friction between the two worlds is not the best for the end user, battling to turn off Samsung Wallet quick access gestures and settings up Google Wallet instead as another example. There's also lots of useful settings not enabled by default, and a tonne of non useful stuff which is battling for attention. The hardware however speaks for itself and it sparks genuine joy to use.

The flip felt too small and I have been an Ultra girl since the note series. This phone ferls great in my hand. It feels like a mini book or even like a compact mirror. The screen is responsive. Flips through pages quickly. The colors of my videos, pictures and movies look stunning. I think the sound is louder than my S23 Ultra. My daughter complained it was too loud but not for me, lol. Its foldable design makes it compact in your pocket, while the 6.9-inch main display is bright, smooth and great for watching videos or scrolling. Performance is also excellent, and the 4,300mAh battery is a noticeable improvement for everyday use. (Samsung it) However, it isn’t perfect. The cameras are good, but the ultra-wide camera isn’t as strong as what you’d get on Samsung’s top non-folding phones. The biggest issue is probably the price, especially because the upgrades over the Z Flip 7 aren’t huge. (Popular Mechanics) Overall, I’d recommend the Z Flip 8 to someone who really wants a stylish, compact foldable. But if you already own a recent Z Flip, upgrading probably isn’t necessary.

It's wonderfully compact when folded, but unfolding it into a mini tablet completely changes the experience. When opened the screen is amazing! Watching Netflix and YouTube on this is seriously impressive. When I want to play games I open it up and now I have a tablet, it really blew my expectations out of the water. I really like that the finger print reader is in the power button it makes more sense to have it there. This phone is way louder than my s26 was. The compact size of this phone when closed should be the new standard, it just feels more natural. I dont see myself ever going back to a candy bar shaped phone ever again.

                  [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my third foldable phone. I used to own galaxy Z fold 2 and Z fold 5. Both were pretty good but this one feels and is even better. For me the size is perfect, you can use the entire phone with a single hand even when you are using it as tablet mode. I think the technology got pretty much improved for the foldable system, it feels smooth when you fold and unfold the phone. Although the cameras are not the ones as the ultra the photos are very good. Also you can see that the battery lasts longer as the previous foldable phones as well as my galaxy s25 ultra. So Big improvement there too. Definitely my best foldable phone so far.

First off, the pocketability is a night-and-day difference compared to older models. It’s way thinner and lighter now, so it actually feels like a normal phone in your pocket instead of a heavy brick dragging down your jeans. The biggest game-changer is the new cover screen. It’s smaller, shorter, and wider—almost shaped like a little passport. Ditching that weird, super-tall "TV remote" shape means you can actually type a quick message on the outside screen without constantly hitting typos. It just feels natural in one hand. But when you open it up, that inner screen is fantastic. Because the phone is wider, the inside display opens into a huge, immersive canvas that’s absolutely perfect for watching videos, reading comics, or scrolling through media. Everything looks bright and crisp, and reading digital pages feels effortless. Battery life easily gets you through a full day of heavy use. You don't have to constantly hunt for a charger mid-afternoon, even if you’re spending a lot of time on the big screen. As for the cameras, they’re solid. You’re getting crisp, punchy photos that look great right out of the camera, and using the partially folded screen as its own little tripod for hands-free shots never gets old. Overall, if you want a massive screen in your pocket without the usual foldable bulk, the Z Fold 8 hits a real sweet spot.

                  [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think Samsung nailed it with the Fold8, the size, the hinge mechanism, the screen viewing ration when folded and unfolded, it is impressive and once you get used to it you can't go back to normal phones. Battery capacity is huge and certainly lasts for a full day with constant usage, and the phone form factor is durable but worth investing in a rugged cased to protect such massive investment. Screen is bright and very responsive when folded and unfolded, really love watching videos on this phone, and more importantly choose the right case that support vertical kickstand (not just horizontal) to be sure you are most enjoying the screen view.

I ended up returning the Razr for software alone. One UI is incredible and the Z Fold 8 is like having 3 devices in one. I rarely take photos but it's strange Samsung purposely set up a gen 2 with upgraded cameras. Keep us loyal at the onset! This device is amazingly light, strong, last long, has amazing screens, so easy and fun to use. Finally a phone is fun again! I got so sick and bored of the slabs and remote style. This for. Factor is perfect! Love it. So glad I chose to try this out, keeping it until gen 2.

The phone is the exact size of a Travel passport albeit a few mm thicker. I can hold the phone in my back pocket without it sticking out. I like that I can do most of my tasks using the apps on the cover screen because of the larger size. The rest of the phone features are what Samsung is known for. As for any negatives, I have owned previous Samsung Galaxy Z Flip and Fold phones versions and have had cover screen and screen issues. Hopefully Samsung has figured out to avoid the problem in it's 8th version of the phones.

I'll have a game running on the bottom half while YouTube plays up top and messages come in alongside it — three things at once, all usable, no swapping back and forth. Unfolded it's big enough that I've stopped reaching for a tablet for movies and shows, and the colors hold up in a dark room or outside. The speakers are louder and fuller than I expected from something this thin, and the fold itself feels solid in hand. Folded, it's still just a normal phone for music and podcasts on the go. One device that covers all of it.

In addition, the half folds (L shape) or tent fold (A Shape), don't seem to work that well. It actually measure up well next to my Fold 3, so I turn it long ways to type better, as the wide screen makes the keyboard too long for me. I also miss the full size of the cover screen. It severely displaced my home screen and spit the icons up weirdly over the other panels. Like the left over icons from panel 1, didn't simply get pushed to panel 2? I want to see if I can switch to the Fold 8 Ultra.

                  [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After a year loving my Z Fold 7 I chose to upgrade to the Z Fold 8 thanks to its unique form factor, and I truly believe this was the right choice! It feels more compact and lighter while still having an upgraded battery life. The aspect ratios of both screens are also great. The outter screen is easy to type on and great for videos. The larger screen is great for movies and still big enough for some multitasking from time to time.
