One hinge has seized and snapped off the lid after four months of modest use. The seized hinge is only able to be moved with a large effort and with the leverage along the lid, it it easy to see why it has snapped off. Good computer, but would avoid this type of hinge. Will attempt to have this corrected under warranty but assume I will be blamed for what's clearly a manufacturing fault.

Been put off Samsung laptops after 1 of my laptops developed a hairline crack overnight! As other reviewers have posted, Samsung do not accept liability to any physical damage on their products and warranty is immediately voided (how convenient). I wouldn't have purchased a second samsung laptop if I knew, now it is a waiting game for the second laptop to spontaneously break!! AVOID!!!

Purchased this laptop, in under 3 months hairline crack appeared BEHIND the screen. After doing some research this is a common fault with the laptop. Samsung wish to take no responsibility and do an urgent recall. Whether it's a faulty batch or a poor design, who knows! All you have to do is a Google search and you'll see there's probably 1000+ people with the exact same issue! Unfortunately this for me doesn't make the laptop a great laptop. For the price of it you'd expect it this should not happen. Maybe the 360 design is where the issue is at, it should be useable! I urge Samsung to recall and investigate! There's newspaper articles on this laptop too, saying about the screens so! If you were thinking of buying this laptop, DON'T spend your money elsewhere!
I haven't used it too much, but I love how fast it was and how easy it is to use so far . But the charging finishes so fast even when its off

It's a lovely laptop! But I have one issue. There have been several updates to the fingerprint reader. These have sometimes removed it, sometimes replaced it. I contacted your "help" who were not helpful! It was inactivated again just trecently with a further update.

I’ve been using the Galaxy Book4 for a few weeks now, and the AMOLED display is honestly in a league of its own—the colors are incredibly vibrant and the anti-reflective coating actually works. Performance is snappy thanks to the new Intel Core Ultra chips, and it handles heavy multitasking without breaking a sweat. It’s remarkably thin for how much power it packs. If you’re already in the Samsung ecosystem, the 'Multi Control' feature (using one mouse/keyboard across your laptop and tablet) is a game changer. Worth every penny.

The Galaxy Book4 Ultra has been an excellent surprise and easily one of the best laptops I’ve owned. What stands out immediately is how light and portable it is for a 16” performance laptop. Battery life has been great, easily handling a full workday without constantly reaching for the charger. The touchscreen is fantastic — responsive, sharp, and genuinely useful for productivity and creative tasks. Graphics performance is excellent, easily handling demanding workloads and making everything from media to multitasking feel smooth. The memory is more than enough, keeping everything fast and responsive, and the storage capacity is just right for my needs. The intel core Ultra 9 processor ensures there is nothing too data hungry that this cant handle. I’ve owned premium gaming laptops for years, and this machine is what finally made me switch from a high-end gaming brand to Samsung. Despite the power, the laptop stays quiet with no loud fan noise, which is a huge plus. Connectivity has been solid as well — it connects flawlessly to my dual-monitor setup at work. Overall, this is a great product that balances performance, processing speed, portability, and premium design extremely well. Highly recommended

The touchpad is not precise and hard to make small adjustments with and also sluggish. The resolution is not compatible with the VPN I use for work, making everything I work on very small...about size 3 font. The Samsung website is incredibly circular making it very difficult to navigate to anything helpful. When I finally got to a portion of the website to get an appointment to take my computer in, all the choices on the website were greyed out and couldn't be selected.

This laptop far exceeds every other laptop in terms of performance. Although I have an issue with some of the samsung connectivity in the samsung experience apps, I am still satisfied on the overall ease of use, power, and quality of the laptop. Highly recommend.

First of all, I have had this laptop since June of 2024. I was ecstatic when I learned Samsung was delivering a laptop capable of catering to the demands of gamers and creators, and I have to say I am impressed. With all things Samsung in my home I pretty much prefer the Book4 Ultra over any flagship gaming system/brand simply because I like things to be seamless and versatile. I'm not a hardcover gamer, but it has handled all the popular games with ease, in addition as a student and a professional, I am able to easily manage my whole life in one place. My only recommendations moving forward for the Book5 Ultra model to Samsung is to equip the system with a powerful cooling system, and to all shoppers interested in this laptop do consider a simple fan cooling system. This is a rather powerful computer, especially when upgrading the OS the Pro for Workstations and reinforcing security protocols/overclocking hardware. Note: I bought my cooling fan the same day and have never had an issue, it also keeps internal components clean by limiting intake of debris and dust. Hope this helps!

I freaking love this computer. I would never buy any other brand now that I have experienced this one. I had other laptops and they truly pale in comparison to this one. I am so happy to have purchased this...I love samsung.
While powerful, stylish, and with a good display, this laptop has terrible power efficiency. Even plugged into the wall, the battery dies out if you want to play a demanding video game for a couple of hours. I've tried the provided charger as well as a 140W one. both end up intermittently having the same issue. Ordinarily, I'd be more accepting of this issue, but given the price, I had expectations that were unfortunately not met.

I watched some one use this and to be honest it looks sleek and I wanna try it . I think its awesome since it poses some of the most high quality specs . I'm a programmer and web developer and I would surely love to try it .

Good looking and feeling laptop, but... Without using special software, just Google Chrome 3 windows with about 100 tabs will consume 85-95% of RAM and laptop will be pretty hot. Some cores showing range 65-85°C

Better than the 360. Very stable working computer and you get allot for what you pay for. One step down from the newest model 5. Compared to the 5 model and this one is a better price. Similar features. Saved a few hundred dollars on this.

I deeply regret buying this laptop. The screen glass cracked just from opening the lid normally. The laptop was never dropped or hit. Keep in mind that this model is designed to open almost 360 degrees and has a touchscreen. I am certain this was a manufacturing defect and poor-quality materials. Issues can happen, but what matters is how they are handled. However, Samsung refused to take responsibility. Because of this, I will never buy another Samsung product again, as they didn’t even attempt to investigate the issue.

Lots of neew features that link all my samssung devices and make it easy to enter codes etc. Colors are good and operating system is smooth.
I love this laptop overall but samsung definitely has some issues to fix. The laptop works amazing. I own 2 of them but the biggest issue I've found is that the screen can crack on its own in cold weather. The first night of winter the temperature dropped in my house cause I had my heater off and both of my laptop screens cracked. Definitely disappointing considering how much I paid. Overall though the laptop is fast and works extremely well.

Decent laptop, got it on sale with student program. Main issue I have with it is that it will overheat and slow down very quickly of the laptop having simple web browsers open. It is sleek and comfortable to use and type on, and has an excellent display which is why I got this so I can have better color while editing

To register your fingerprint, you'll need to create a password and PIN first to use the fingerprint scan feature. 1. Select the Start button → Settings → Accounts → Sign-in options. 2. The Galaxy Book4 15.6" with Intel® Core™ i7 and 512GB SSD is a great laptop overall. It offers solid performance with the Intel i7 processor, fast storage, and a clear, spacious 15.6" display. The design is sleek and the battery life is good for everyday use. However, one downside is that the latch doesn't close tightly, which could be a concern if you're looking for a secure, sturdy closure. I absolutely love my Galaxy Book4! It has a sleek look. The computer has fast performance and a long battery life. I like the clarity of the screen, the anti-glare and I love the fingerprint reader because it makes logging in a breeze b. It's pretty lightweight and usually I don't like to use laptops because it doesn't feel comfortable using the keyboard, but Samsung did this just right! I have enough space to rest my wrists and type as if I am using a regular keyboard so that is a plus for me. I take my GalaxyBook4 everywhere I go.

I switched over from my 2023 M2 Mac, been using Mac for many years. I recently switched over to Galaxy phone and tablet and heard good things about Samsung's ecosystem; hesitantly figured I'd give it a try. So far I'm liking it, I really like the touch screen functionality. And even though the screen specs are inferior on paper, the screen looks better than my Mac (seems very bright and vibrant). I like that it automatically syncs up to my phone and I can text and call from my laptop, it is all so seamless. Drag and drop files between my tablet and laptop etc. The bad; this computer is definitely slower than my Mac. I get quite a bit of mouse stutter which I rarely, if ever got before (sometimes so much I miss what I was trying to click on). The battery lasts about half as long, I get about 4-5 hours. Windows 11 is MUCH better than whatever version was around years ago when I last used it... But it still has some of the things I hate (Microsoft makes changes to your computer, buggy etc). I'm happy with the laptop, it is very high quality and I'm enjoying Samsung's superior ecosystem. My computer use is fairly mild; editing PDF and Word documents, some excel, email and the like. Nothing too heavy...

I am in the Samsung ecosystem. Here is whats wrong with my 1 month old book4 360. - sometimes it decides not to charge when plugged in and on, like being used. I need to turn it off to charge - sometimes it will take 5 minutes to restart. - the clicks on the track pad are not there any more. There is no clicking left or right. The funny thing is I don't even use the click feature, I tap for mouse clicks. - the Bluetooth is unreliable. It doesn't even connect to the buds pro 3 half of the times. This is an embarrassing device that creates a lot of frustration.

This is my first new laptop since 2011 when I bought a Samsung. It still works great but is becoming dated with some of the programs so I opted for another Samsung. I am elated with the purchase as it ticked off all the boxes on my wish list. The RAM is plenty, memory is fantastic, the screen is as beaitufil as my Galaxy S23 Ultra and I love how they work together. I can get a text on my phone and it pops up on my computer allowing me to reply immediately (and with a backlit, soft response keyboard). The keyboard is perfect for the type of typist I am and I appreciate the number pad very much. The book can be used as a table and included the stylus so what else could I ever need. I can game, edit, stream, draw, it has it all. I also would like to express my gratitude for the Veteran's discount. It was very much appreciated and allowed me to get exactly what I wanted. The buying experience was also seamless and shipping or pick up options were available which allowed me to pick up my new computer the same day. This laptop is wonderful to use in every way. The screen, size and keyboard are perfect for me. I like the build quality and the included Samsung software is very user friendly vs Microsoft apps, I like having options. It is definitely worth every penny and I highly recommend it. So far the battery life is very good and the processor runs cool.
I am really enjoying the computer. My only complaints are: I wanted to buy it with Windows 11 Pro. Also, coming from a MS Surface I was expecting the case to be metal not plastic.

It has decent performance for a productivity machine. The screen is bright, but still hard to see in daylight. The rounded corners are very annoying, why bother rounding the display corners? Battery life is fine, but not good. Just watching youtube and surfing the net i get maybe 6 hrs on a charge. The real issue is if you put it in sleep mode and leave it in your backpack for a day or two there is a frequent chance of finding a hot laptop with a nearly dead battery. Keyboard is decent, but the number keys are not as useful as i had hopped and result in an odd shift to the keyboard from other laptops. Not a major issue but takes some getting used to. The large track pad is difficult to use and had horrible palm rejection often resulting in clicking while typing if not disabled. The function keys double as the shortcut keys, but it wont remember your preference if you shutdown the laptop. The finger print reader is hit or miss, and I have had to program multiple fingers as it sometimes doesn't like my index finger. The lack of a USB C or charge port on the right side is inconvenient. The type A port on the right is great though. The micro SD card slot is useful. Having a second internal NVME slot is great and allowed for an easy upgrade of internal storage space. The software is a real nightmare though. Windows has its bugs and issues as expected, but the Samsung software is just bad. I find myself often being bounced from on samsung software to another often requiring installation or updates of apps just to find the setting I want. Integration with my S23 or S24 has been bad, quick share works poorly if i can even get it to recognize my phone. Getting galaxy buds to connect was a pain, and then it keeps stealing control of them from my phone. The cherry on top is that the new samsung device care app doesnt let you pick which updates you want, leading to potential driver conflicts and a forced installation of McAfee without an opt out, even if you have removed the software already. This is my second Samsung laptop and will be my last unless they magically get their near malware level software sorted out.
