The Galaxy Z Fold 7 looks stunning and feels futuristic, but the durability and inner display quality is disappointing. I have had my phone for 11 months, it then developed a problem with the folding unscreen. I sent it back to John Lewis for repair or replacement under warranty. They inspected it and said that the phone has sustained damage to the inner screen from an external sourse and was not covered by the warranty and the cost to repair would be £535.00. I told John Lewis that the phone has been well looked after by myself and never been dropped or receive any other trauma what so ever. The phone case has no scratches or dents it is in perfect condition. I suggested that the folding screen had developed a problem down the crease and that I am not responsible for the damage. John Lewis returned the phone to me unrepaired. I am now left with a phone that is next to useless, with my warrantee not being honored. I can not afford to have my phone repaired or to buy a new one as I am 79 years of age and of limited income. The phone was a gift from my son and I can't expect him to replace it for me but I expected better treatment from John Lewis and a replacement phone under the warrantee. Regards John Mottram

I've had the device 11 months the device already has a blown pixel that you are refusing to repair under warranty. The hinge is loose already. Id never get another fold and I'm even considering leaving samsung all together.

I Had Many Phones But Samsung Z fold 7 is an absolute masterpiece! The resolution of the screen is the thing which has caught my heart from the core. Its a great design, much nicer for browsing and youtube on the inner screen. Outer screen better than the s24 I had before. The only downside to this phone is you can't use it on a flat surfsce because of the rear camera, it makes the phone wobble. Should of made the front camera a bit better and ditched the 3 lenses on the back, I could of used the inner screen as the view finder then when taking photos and have no wobble.

I really do love the fold. It really is ideal when I want to read something and need the bigger screen, especially for my books. My main issue, however, is that after barely having the phone, the screen on the right starts flickering and then turns black. Then you have to reopen the phone a few times to fix this issue, and it's as if the issue is getting worse, which is making me more concerned about using the open flip even though there is no damage to the phone. I do wish Samsung could fix this issue for future models as it's a common issue

I bought it 2 weeks ago and i dont regret buying it

Unfortunately have to give this phone a 1 star, not so much for the phone itself but for the abhorrent service received by Samsung in regard to a known defect with the phone and refusing to fix it within their warranty. The inner screen only lasted 11 months before it went green and stopped working. Samsung have refused to fix it claiming it has "impact damage" on the hinge and punctures on the screen. This was after their Liverpool store rep dug his thumb into the screen thus causing the "punctures". The so called "impact damage" they claim they see is a small scuff that happens to be on the hinge and would not in any way have caused the screen to do what it did. Absolutely appalling service from Samsung and as such they have lost 2 customers because neither myself or my partner will be continuing with Samsung in the future, even after emailing the CEO line they have stood their ground. I always thought highly of Samsung but unfortunately that has now changed.

I will rate galaxy z fold 7 as the best smartphone that I have used so far. The level of freedom that the screen provides is excellent, especially for media comsumption and opening two screens side by side. The reason I have given 4 stars instead of 5 is beecause of battery, would really appreciate if we could get 6 hours of SOT. At present I am getting 4 to 4.5 hours and around 125% battery usage per day on average. Also would like to see a better telephoto camera, hopefully 50 mp at least 5x. Rest I am extremely happy, probably the happiest after a purchase that I have been since a long time regardless of price.

Within 3 months of ownership inner screen has broken with no impact and samsung declining a warranty repair obviously not fit for purpose because if you look online seems like there's loads of people with this excat problem and samsung are declining all repairs

My mobile is getting stuck and its been 3 times it is restarted itself. I don't know the issue still there lot of bugs in typing and AI use.

Fold 7 is rubbish phone screen problem half screen is black and flickering and battery poor

First phone defective poor battery life very buggy and bad fold line very visible after a few months of use returned the device they sent out a new one with the same problems

What I love about mu fold 7 is the thinness of the phone and size of the inner screen. What I hate about it is it's not fit for purpose. I've had fold 3,5 and 7. All screens have failed.

Overall loving this phone, the camera quality is fab, performance is outstanding, battery life is long lasting, display is fantastic, I have a case on the phone since it come out the box so not too sure on the Durability without the case on but with it on its fab. Really pleased.

Its my 10th or 11th Samsung I'm using, and honestly I regret for last 2 times i didn't switch to something else other than Samsung. My Samsung S23 ultra had a stylus and better camera than brand new flagman Fold 7 which ridiculous. Its impossible to draw anything without stylus meaning wide screen is useless for art. Internal Screen was replaced after 10 days of use just because of poor durability. After almost 8 months, there are still no updates for camera which resolved the issues, especially in night mode. Iphone 13 has a better night mode camera than 2025 brand new flagman phone. Good side, it's good phone for the meetings as it fits all presentations and its great for reading books.

Was great for the first 6 months. Then the inner screen broke and Samsung won't repair it, saying I'd closed something on the inside! Err, no, I don't treat a £1500 phone like a notebook.

While I like the foldability, which is why I acquired it, I find the weight somewhat uncomfortable in use. I also feel it's quite vulnerable to damage, since the only protective cover I have been able to buy for it is made from very flimsy acrylic and hasn't a secure fit. I do appreciate the battery life, which is better than my S22 by far. My greatest gripe in use is when I have a code sent to me necessitating going to my email thumbnail, then not being able to return to the original page to insert the data. There may be a solution for this, but I can't find it. Still, early days.

It can feel a little heavy in my pocket but you get used to it in the end. The cost to purchase at almost £2000 is prohibitive to be honest. Even the contract price with o2 is heavy.

I got the Samsung z fold 7 September last year and in January the phone has split at the hinge common fault there’s no physical damage or water damage to the phone is it on prefect condition and sky and Samsung are trying to charge me for the screen £700 even though it’s still under warranty. Im not having to go to ombudsman for help please people do not get this phone !!

My Fold 7 does all that i need it for except that the images from my camera isn't as fine, bright and clear as I would expect of a device as the Fold 7. I also realised my friends and neighbours picture resolutions and finess is far clearer and better than mine. Even thought they use lower devices e.g Fold 5 and Fold 4 respectfully Please work on this

New fold7, had less than 2 months old the screen cracked in exactly the same way as my fold 4 did. Off course Samsung denied the warranty repair. Off course they claimed I had dropped it, despite them being unable you find any marks on it. So many, many other users have expierenced exactly the same manufacturing fault, and all have had their warranty claim denied. Please see YouTube, forums and Facebook groups. I had hoped the problems with the Fold 4 would have been engineered out by now.sadly this is not the case. Best avoid the fold screens and stick with a fixed screen. After 15 years with Samsung, its time to move on. Disgraceful way to treat so many once loyal customers

I love how smooth everything feels, and love the layout. The large screen is great fornwatching sports etc when people are using the TV. My one and only complaint is that for almost 2k i want the flagship 100× digital zoom seen on the s25. But i understand its hard when the phone is thin. I would personally be fine with a thicker phone if it gave me the 100× zoom. I would've given 5 stars if the camera was better.

Top speed and thin enough to hold comfortably Slight bigger screen actually does make a difference.. I like to save my large raw photos internally and the 1Tb is ideal.. Great price as a Amazon resale with full Samsung Warrenty

Great idea and worked lovely for the first couple of months,until the internal screen broke ! Phone never been dropped and hardly opened as I don't really have that much of a need for tablet mode but the inner screen developed hairline cracks along the hinge line and the screen is now black with green and white lines across . Sent back for repair but only to be told its not covered by warranty and would cost £650 to repair !! Poor effort from Samsung and has definitely put me off buying anymore of there phones . My s24 ultra was immaculate after 1.5years and part exchanged for this rubbish . Dont buy the fold ,they are not robust enough even for the lightest daily use This is an extremely expensive phone and not worth it

Why cannot I turn it off ? ,do not want constant screens interfering with my activities

I can sit and read news and open the phone watch a movie at the same time I use multi control on all of my devices but the Samsung Fold 7 makes it so much better. The slim design makes it light and easy to move around with, I place it in my mobile game controller and can game full screen. The battery life and features are amazing I have used AI a little but it is all new to me, so need to teach myself more on its capabilities and features.

I recently moved from iPhone, but im not having good experience with Samsung. First of all face recognition and finger print sensor is awful. Face never used to get recognised never has this issue in iphone. Then earphones doesn't get connected I had to contact customer service but they weren't so helpful. Screenshot moves the entire screen and takes forever to go back so many times just to take a screenshot. Keyboard not so smooth. And operating system is also not smooth. I regret moving and won't advice anyone moving to samsung now. Cs promised a call back after 4pm as I have a newborn but they rang me at 2pm.. I rang in the evening and cs promised to call back after 30 mins as she had to move desk or something. She never rang back. Proper awful. I might move back to iPhone soon as cs is the most important when having issues with phone. And phone its self is very poor performing. Sometimes it just boils my blood when im using it. Adding attchment proof how random things just pop up while using the phone and when I plus earphones Spotify comes up even if im using other apps. Super annoying.
